17. BUILDING WOOLWORTHS A CONTENT ECOSYSTEM
Challenge
For a decade the Woolworths magazine was
published by News Corp. When SUDDENLY
took over in 2018, we challenged the team
working on Fresh to grow beyond a magazine.
To fully serve the content needs of the
Woolworths customer and client beyond
printing a mag and developing recipes.
Solution
Our team has become integral to the
Woolworths content creation process. As the
food content specialists, we are now part of
their agency roster, alongside creative, media
and social agencies. We built Woolworths a
dedicated kitchen studio. We create a wide
range of content, including long-form video,
online cooking programs, live school tours and
campaign support. We developed the Fresh
mag app and recently created a three-year road
map to a connected content ecosystem around
the needs of their customer.

18. HELPING N.B.H RECLAIM THEIR NARRATIVE
Challenge
Northern Beaches Hospital had recently
opened its doors in Sydney’s Frenchs
Forest. Their opening had become highly
politicised, attracting a lot of negative
press.
Solution
We diagnosed that N.B.H had lost control of their narrative.
We recommended they reclaim it by starting conversations
through content about how their staff never stop caring. These
included an open letter from staff in the Manly Daily, a
monthly page celebrating new births, the Can’t Stop Caring
video series, and LIFEBLOOD, a photography exhibition. The
result? Increased positive sentiment and feedback.

Solution
Develop a content strategy that clearly identifies the key content pillars. This has allowed
us to supply a steady stream of always-on content for all of Royal Wolf’s channels. We’ve
found the right mix between bold storytelling, PR-worthy content and the hardworking
utility content that drives SEO. By using our journalistic instincts we’ve found the human
stories in shipping containers and turned them into beautiful, heartwarming content, such
as the crisis accommodation work showcased above.

Challenge
We help Sweat, the fitness training app
featuring the world’s Number 1 female
personal trainer, Kayla Itsines, with a range of
content needs. Supporting their in-house
team, developing content strategy, creating
Facebook Premiere workout videos and more.
In October of 2019 they set us a huge
challenge: Kayla was returning from
maternity leave and she had developed two
new fitness programs. Sweat wanted our help
with ideas to launch them, with Kayla, in their
biggest market, NYC. All within seven weeks.
Solution
We accepted the challenge and developed a
five-part IGTV series. Our Head of Content sat
with Kayla at home in Adelaide for seven
hours, drilling down into the untold stories of
her struggles after childbirth. Shot in Adelaide
and New York, the series revealed a vulnerable
side of Kayla that her 12-million strong
Instagram community had never seen before.

Challenge
News Corp has a range of external agencies and
internal teams responding to different reactive
briefs. This results in varying levels of creativity and
consistency in output. We aim to raise the quality
of thinking and ideas that News Corp shares.
Solution
We service our own parent business with creativity
and proactivity.
Creativity: We approach everything with a view to
raising the bar on the idea or execution. For Come
Together 2019 we created VR for travel experience, the
world's smallest chef for an immersive food
experience, a whole new way to sell sport called
Codeblock and an opening sizzle reel that blew the
audience away.
Proactivity: During COVID-19 we pitched and created
We Are Together, a content series that shares
intimately how News Corp employees are living and
learning through these challenging times.
