PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Cheminformatics :
An Advancement in In-silico Drug Designing
The workshop focusing on Bioinformatics for creating an
immense opportunity for researchers to design novel
leads and therapeutic molecules. Today, computational
techniques used in drug discovery process have
drastically reduced down the time and cost of drug
development. The in-silico studies have enhanced our
understanding of molecular properties and the specific
behavior of drug-receptor interaction at the molecular
level.
The workshop focuses on the current techniques of
Molecular Modeling and Drug designing that are being
used by researchers for predicting the 3D structure of
Proteins and in designing of drug molecules through
guided practical training. For lab exercise, various online
resources and softwares will be used in the training such
as Toxicity Prediction Software, Physiochemical
property prediction,DeepView, Marvin Draw and
Molinspiration.
WHO SHOULDATTEND?
The participants of the workshop may be students,
research scholars, faculties and industry personnel with
background in Life Sciences and/or Information
Technology.

Bioinformatics institute of India
Bioinformatics Institute of India (BII), setup in the year
2002 has acquired international reputation by conducting
industry oriented knowledge enhancement programs in
the emerging domains of life science. BII was established
by the prestigious Confrere Educational Society. Within a
short span of a decade, BII has traversed many
milestones in academic excellence and is today
recognized as premier institute for providing the training in
the area of Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Pharma,
Clinical Trials etc. The course curriculum has been
designed on global industrial pattern to fill the gap
between academia and industry has lead BII to attain
professional expertise in the field of life science and its
allied area. BII is, resolute visionary, committed to provide
world class technical and scientific education in life
sciences domain. The aim behind the establishment of BII
was to synergize theoretical knowledge and practical
skills to promote all round professional competence due
to which now BII has acquired a unique status in the
country and globally. BII facilitates Bioinformatics
research and education to provide ample opportunity to
the students, professionals to develop an expertise in the
field of Bioinformatics. The aim of the project training is to
bring together researchers working in the field of
Bioinformatics to exchange recent trends in this domain.
Bioinformatics Institute of India provides the students
to know how of Bioinformatics tools and concepts can be
employed in industry oriented projects. The project work
give an additional benefit to the students by getting
familiarize with the Biological data analysis and to
understand the methodology for the protein structure
function, genetics, and gene function analysis. The
trained students become competent as per industry
demand by the project work experience opening new job
avenues.
