Activities in Boy Scouting aims to promote holistic development
of Boy Scouts through safe, fun, exciting and challenging
educational activities that will enable them to become responsible
citizens in the home, institution, community and render service to
protect the environment. It further seeks to develop leadership
potentials among Scouts through the completion of the Scout
Advancement and Merit Badge System requirements.

The Young People or the Youth members should always
be at the core and at the center of Scouting. Taking into
account the formative years of Children, the holistic
development of young people and young adults –
physically, emotionally, socially, mentally, and spiritually
prepared. The vital aspect is to promote holistic
development and total well-being of Scouts from all
sections of theYouth Programme.

• 1. Demonstrate the love for our country.
• 2. Be familiar with the Ideals in Scouting.
• 3. Demonstrate on how to execute some Ideals in Scouting.
• 4. Describe the Scout Badge.
• 5. Learn on being thrifty.
• 6. Participate in the Investiture Ceremony and commit oneself to
the Scout Oath and Law.
TENDERFOOT SCOUT
RANK ACTIVITIES (20)
• 1. Explain the Ideals in Scouting.
• 2. Attend regular Religious services.
• 3. Explain the symbolism in the Philippines Flag.
• 4. Identify the Boy and Adult leaders in your Patrol andTroop.
• 5. Earn money.
• 6.Tell rules at home.
TENDERFOOT SCOUT
RANK ACTIVITIES (20)
• 7.Wash and darn your clothes.
• 8. Plant and care at least one tree.
• 9. Enumerate personal health rules.
• 10. Inspect your home for safety hazards.
• 11. Demonstrate giving of First Aid.
• 12. Identify at least ten (10) edible plants.
TENDERFOOT SCOUT
RANK ACTIVITIES (20)
• 13. Sharpen a knife or a bolo.
• 14. Name the parts of a rope.
• 15. Demonstrate the directions in the compass.
• 16. Play Kim’s Game.
• 17. Demonstrate table manners.
• 18. Be active in Patrol andTroop Meetings.
• 19. Discuss your commitments in theTroop and Patrol.
• 20. Discuss how to guard against child abuse.
SECOND CLASS
SCOUT ACTIVITIES (19)
• 1. Cite experiences wherein you practiced Ideals in Scouting.
• 2. Attend religious instructions and services.
• 3. Demonstrate the Flag Code.
• 4. Identify yourTroop Committee members and Institutional
Leaders.
• 5. Earn money.
• 6.TellTroop traditions.
SECOND CLASS
SCOUT ACTIVITIES (19)
• 7. Explain on how to take care of your Institution’s property.
• 8. Demonstrate a Patrol activity to help ensure sanitation.
• 9. Explain and discuss the Safe Swim Defense Plan.
• 10. Describe the five (5) vital steps in giving First Aid.
• 11. Name at least five (5) animal friends.
• 12. Do some repairs in the home.
SECOND CLASS
SCOUT ACTIVITIES (19)
• 13. Demonstrate different lashings.
• 14. Orient a street map or a topographic map.
• 15. Determine personal measurements.
• 16. Discuss the proper decorum in different activities.
• 17.Tell what to do in a safe hike.
• 18. Discuss proper communication with your peers.
• 19. Earn the SAFETY and CITIZENSHIP INTHE HOME Merit
Badges.
FIRST CLASS
SCOUT ACTIVITIES (19)
• 1. Cite experiences wherein you practiced Ideals in Scouting.
• 2. Produce evidence that you have been faithful in your religious
obligations.
• 3. Lead in at least one flag-raising ceremony.
• 4. Describe the District or Municipal Scouting Committee.
• 5. Earn and save money.
• 6. Describe how will you show respect for the rights of others.
FIRST CLASS
SCOUT ACTIVITIES (19)
• 7. Participate in a community service project.
• 8. Explain the dangers of smoking, alcoholism and drug abuse.
• 9. Swim at least 25 meters using different strokes.
• 10. Explain what to do during emergencies.
• 11. Show at least two (2) constellations.
• 12. Make a project that will be useful in the home.
• 13. Make at least three (3) gadgets.
FIRST CLASS
SCOUT ACTIVITIES (19)
• 14. Draw a simple map of your community.
• 15. Send and receive a message using the International Morse
Code.
• 16. Participate in one social activity.
• 17. Prepare for camp.
• 18. Discuss sexual maturity and chaste living.
• 19. Earn the CITIZENSHIP INTHE COMMUNITY, FILIPINO
HERITAGE, FIRST AID and ECOLOGY orTREE FARMING Merit
Badges.
