Gehl Annual Report
2014—15
4. Since launching our new Gehl
communication platform in May
2014, we have seen some very
exciting developments on our web
and social media fronts. For starters
an increase of 41% in traffic to our
website in the last year!
The Gehl website has had as many as
237.856 sessions this past year! The website
has been visited by 155.518 people (users)
– an increase of 28% from last year.
Also, the website has over a half million page
views! (523.730 to be precise). With regards to
users, sessions and page views, Gehl is well
above average in Northern Europe, compared
to industry average*. The website has a
good amount of traffic from North America,
which is promising, and building momentum
for our internationalization strategy.
Most of our followers are from the US,
Scandinavia and the UK - and the number of
Spanish-speaking followers are increasing.
People are truly interested in knowing more
about us. On many websites, people spend one
minute or less, but on the Gehl site, visitors
are spending an average of 2.30 minutes not
just on the front page, but also exploring
numerous pages on the site. This means
Gehl website
& social media
Supporting our brand
we do really well with reader engagement
compared to industry average, since 46%
of our users go beyond the front page.
Relevant and inspiring content drives visits!
The blog is widely read, commented, and
shared – quality content is still king. The Gehl
blog is a window to our world, giving people a
chance to look behind the scenes and raise the
awareness of impact of our work. 2563 people
currently subscribe to our blog and news and
this number is well above industry average.
On social media, the trend is also positive – on
twitter, we now have more than 17.600 followers
– a rise of 46.7% since last year. This number
of followers has the potential of reaching the
feeds of a staggering 229.329 people (estimated
twitter reach). A pretty significant increase
testifying that the more relevant things you
share, the more people will follow your media
outlets. Sharing our news, blogs, and other
content on social media is actually driving
traffic to the site. Social media links generate
about 10% of traffic to the Gehl website.
*The industry average for this report is Architecture for
sites between 500-999 avg. hits per day. These results are in
comparison to 156 other websites that Google selected.
