This experiment covers how Fishes can be had healing process, themselves in their complex aquatic habitats as shown during rearing period in indoor FRP tank from open cement tank. Theory on healing abilities of wild fishes based on assumtion from this experiment and other supporting Scientific similar evidence on immune system responses in wild fishes

fish maintained without chemical treatment in FRP tank

Experimental setup:
Materials used
A adult fish of 390 grams body weight harvested using hand net survived from escape during complete
harvesting recovered from muddy earthy bottom due to uneaten broken feed and feacal waste in Cement
tanks (oval shape with 1.5m depth*15m length*3m width) kept under dry up at 20 cm water depth for two
days, followed by hand netting and kept adult tilapia recovered in poor oxygenated muddy bottom with
numerous fresh water snails in cement tank, carefully shifted in temporarily holding separate
acclimatization plastic tank with by slowly diluting with fresh water, via partial replacement and GIFT
tilapia fry and fingerlings along with 1500nos of GIFT tilapia fry stage fishes maintained in circular fiber
reinforced tank for 8days prior to water exchange
Prior condition of cement tank: Muddy bottom due to raw borewell with 0.3ppm iron content and
hardness, floating leaves of trees along the dyke of cement tank, degraded in the bottom, floating soil
particles due to on water surface due to nearby vehicles travels probably expected to fall into the previously
maintained water
During the maintenance:
A adult stage GIFT tilapia fish with injuries on ventral and pectoral fins, pelvic, gills partially blocked in
muddy condition, immediately taken out, repeatedly 4-5 times cleaning gills by opening operculum and
slowly moving water towards the gills to clean gills with slight muddy soil particles, fins kept for short time
plastic crates of 50 lit capacity with 20 liters water to allow fish itself to recovery by shifting in circular
FRP tank maintained with 1500nos of GIFT tilapia fry and 10 early fingerlings in freshwater condition fed
with 30% protein feed for 8days (daily twice 20gms 0.5mm size fish feed/day), provided with aeration for
24 hours with 4 air stones and average PH 7.8,DO 4-6ppm, NH3-0ppm, Temperature indoor tank, 26-30
degree C. During rearing period small fry GIFT tilapias observed to attaching on injured body parts of
adult stage GIFT tilapia expected to cleaning the debris and other wastes on exposed body parts, after
8days found adult GIFT tilapia recovered healthy.
It is observed and found in the above study fishes might be having abilities to social gathering like for
helping injured their own species or other similar fishes at different life stages to cure themselves, and
assist other fishes during the difficult times in their course as in migratory and non migratory fishes over
long highly vulnerable life stages in migratory routes example: along the river pass pass ways and Highly
migratory trans-boundary marine fish stocks of different EEZ in coastal waters of countries

Proposed Theory of Healing abilities of wild fishes by Bhukya Bhaskar
 Wild fishes had adopted for different feeding habits within their natural aquatic habitats
over years during the evolutionary changes with respect to developmental stages of life
cycle and availability of wild fish live feeds as herbivorous and omnivorous
phytoplankton and zooplankton and Predatory carnivorous on preys
 Fishes are living in the same aquatic environment were microbial, vector borne pathogens
carriers, hosts, predators, preys within unit aquatic habitat or habitat based non migratory
or migratory places of living, external anthropogenic pressure due to pollutants, physical
injuries due to netting, ghost fishing, boating and associated direct and indirect impacts of
climate change also adversely affect the fishes , but still fishes are thriving in aquatic
ecosystem, assumed to be adopted for self surviving by regular repair or injury or
regenerative behavioral development in within same fish species different life stages,
and between the different group/individual fish species or with other symbiotic species on
its habitat.

 Fishes assumed to slowly evolved to recover from loss of fins, scales, ill health from
other predatory and pollution, climate change related habitat shifting adaptation or other
recover from injuries as per theory
With reference to similar scientific supporting evidences on this theory
 Fishes have adopted for cellular immune responses with innate (non-specific) and
adaptive (specific) immune cell mediated immune mechanism to repair various injuries
and pathogenic invaders as other vertebrates, the main cellular constituents in immune
system of fishes are macrophages, dendritic cells, granulocytes, NK cells, cytotoxic T-
cells and mucosal immune system which helps in maintaining in general health of fish
and adaptive immune system with which includes T-cell receptors(TCR), immune-
globulins (Igs), major histocompatibility complex (MHC), assumed to reported in first
jawed vertebrates with adaptive immune system is highly specific to a specific antigen
will help in long standing immunity
 In contrast to higher vertebrates fish immune system are majorly rely on non specific
immune systems during their survive from early embryonic stages
 Teleost fishes antibodies are known to found in the skin, Intestine, bile, gill mucus,
systematically in plasma.

It is observed and found in the above study fishes might be having abilities to social gathering like for helping injured their own species or other similar fishes at different life stages to cure themselves, and assist other fishes during the difficult times in their course as in migratory and non migratory fishes over long highly vulnerable life stages in migratory routes example: along the river pass pass ways and Highly migratory trans-boundary marine fish stocks of different EEZ in coastal waters of countries

  • 3. 3 Observing social behavior GIFT tilapia fry in FRP tank monitoring by Bhukya Bhaskar Proposed Theory of Healing abilities of wild fishes by Bhukya Bhaskar  Wild fishes had adopted for different feeding habits within their natural aquatic habitats over years during the evolutionary changes with respect to developmental stages of life cycle and availability of wild fish live feeds as herbivorous and omnivorous phytoplankton and zooplankton and Predatory carnivorous on preys  Fishes are living in the same aquatic environment were microbial, vector borne pathogens carriers, hosts, predators, preys within unit aquatic habitat or habitat based non migratory or migratory places of living, external anthropogenic pressure due to pollutants, physical injuries due to netting, ghost fishing, boating and associated direct and indirect impacts of climate change also adversely affect the fishes , but still fishes are thriving in aquatic ecosystem, assumed to be adopted for self surviving by regular repair or injury or regenerative behavioral development in within same fish species different life stages, and between the different group/individual fish species or with other symbiotic species on its habitat.
  • 4. 4  Fishes assumed to slowly evolved to recover from loss of fins, scales, ill health from other predatory and pollution, climate change related habitat shifting adaptation or other recover from injuries as per theory With reference to similar scientific supporting evidences on this theory  Fishes have adopted for cellular immune responses with innate (non-specific) and adaptive (specific) immune cell mediated immune mechanism to repair various injuries and pathogenic invaders as other vertebrates, the main cellular constituents in immune system of fishes are macrophages, dendritic cells, granulocytes, NK cells, cytotoxic T- cells and mucosal immune system which helps in maintaining in general health of fish and adaptive immune system with which includes T-cell receptors(TCR), immune- globulins (Igs), major histocompatibility complex (MHC), assumed to reported in first jawed vertebrates with adaptive immune system is highly specific to a specific antigen will help in long standing immunity  In contrast to higher vertebrates fish immune system are majorly rely on non specific immune systems during their survive from early embryonic stages  Teleost fishes antibodies are known to found in the skin, Intestine, bile, gill mucus, systematically in plasma.
