context
• Let’s reverse all the way back to
the late 2000s when touchscreens
were revolutionising mobile
devices.
• In this era, Rovio Entertainment,
came up with this genius game
that combined physics-based
gameplay with the new
capabilities of smart devices (Leith
et al., 2013).
• In December of 2009 Angry Birds
was born

4. How to play!
Step 1: Download Angry Birds
from your App Store select the
version you prefer.
Step 2: Choose a level from the
available options and tap "Play"
to begin. Progression may
require clearing previous levels.
Step 3: In Angry Birds 2, select
a specific bird by tapping the
corresponding card in the lower-
left corner. Earn keys to unlock
new bird types as you play

5. How to play!
Step 4: Aim by pulling back on the
slingshot with your finger. Tap and drag
the bird in the slingshot to determine its
direction and distance. Use the dotted
line as a guide for the bird's path.
Step 5: Release your finger to launch the
bird. It will destroy or damage obstacles
it encounters along its flight path.
Step 6: Activate special abilities by
tapping the screen while the bird is in
mid-flight. Each bird colour has a unique
ability.

6. Game
objectives
• Objective: Destroy all the pigs by launching
your angry birds at them, utilizing various
structures made of wood, glass, stone, and
more.
• Score points: Earn points by damaging pigs,
destroying structures, and having leftover
birds at the end. Aim for the highest score and
aim to achieve a three-star rating for each level
(Leith at al., 2013).
• Special abilities: Unlock the Mighty Eagle and
Spells to tackle challenging levels. Use these
abilities strategically, but note that they come
at a cost and won't earn you stars. In Angry
Birds 2, four additional spells were introduced
for more gameplay variety
