1. I’m special. In all the world there is nobody like me.

2. Since the beginning of time, there has never been another person like me.

3. Nobody has my smile .

4. Nobody has my eyes my nose, my hair, my hands, my voice…

5. I’m special.

6. No one can be found who has my handwriting.

7. Nobody anywhere has my tastes… for food, or music, or art.

8. No one sees things just as I do.

9. In all of time there has been no one who laughs like me, no one cries like me,

10. And what makes me laugh and cry will never provoke identical laughter and tears from anybody else, ever.

11. No one reacts to any situation just as I would react.

12. I’m special.

13. I’m the only one in all of creation who has my set of abilities.

14. Oh, there will always be someone who is better at one of the things I’m good at…

15. But no one in the Universe can reach the quality of my combination of talents, ideas, abilities and feelings.

16. Like a room full of musical instruments, some may excel alone,

17. but none can match the Symphony sound when all are played together.

18. I am a Symphony.

20. At the Vision Development Center we take pride in our reputation for seeing each child as a unique individual with special talents and gifts. We work with many children who face a variety of challenges from Developmental Delays to Learning Disabilities, ADD/ADHD etc.

21. All of these children have expressed how much they enjoy their time here because they are appreciated for their individuality and not viewed as a “diagnosis”. Unfortunately, all too often this is not a common experience for many of them in their daily lives.

22. It is truly a joy to see these children explore and expand their abilities as they develop the skills whose absence had made efficient learning and adequate attention so difficult for them.
