Working Differently: Building Community With Facebook Fan PagesBob Bertsch
Building community is one of the key activities NDSU Extension Service must practice to communicate effectively online. This session shows you how to use the popular social media tool Facebook to build community around your county extension office, subject matter, project or department.
Nearly every topic is currently being discussed. As educators we often want to define and control that conversation, but we can often be more effective if we identify and join that conversation instead.
This presentation, which I delivered at the TerminalFOUR conference in Dublin, Ireland, on 19 November 2014, focuses on how to incorporate social media into a college or university website.
Social media: Connecting their networks with your website-mStoner: t44uTerminalfour
Your website should be the hub for all your institution's communications. And because social media is such a valuable way to connect with and engage constituents, they should be integrated into your site. Michael Stoner, president of mStoner, will look at why this is essential, explore some great examples from colleges and universities around the world, and suggest ways in which TERMINALFOUR makes this kind of integration easy for you to accomplish. Presentation 1: Web 2.0 - Leading Applications in Government
Presenters:
Eric Bristow - Senior Manager, Deloitte Consulting
Doug Shoupp – Principal, Deloitte Consulting
Microblogging is synonymous with twitter, or at least it seems that way. In reality Facebook and many other social networking environments have adopted this communication paradigm extremely successfully.
The question really is how does this play in the enterprise space? Ian McNairn will discuss how IBM has adapted to this social computing phenomenon and exploits it internally extensively.
He will look at some of the reasons behind the exponential growth in activity as well as the tools and clients being used both within and outside IBM.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
