1. In my class with students within school Google domain
2. Students from another GAFE domain
(3. Add teachers/students from other schools to your gafe domain)
• students/classes with gafe accounts and access to SMART amp.
• Create workspace in advance.
• Devices and either wifi or WLAN connection.
Preparation (technology):
Technology (in real time):
1. Pre-created workspace
2. Sharing options from SMART amp within your class.
3. Sharing options from Google Drive to invite other gafe-
users.
How to?
Preparation (pedagogy):
A. Let students decide which way the learning is going. Wild ideas, just go as they please.
Pro: learning how to work within amp and explore possibilities.
Con: does it aim your goals?
B. Prepare good questions and share with students what the goals are that you as a
teacher are aiming for with the class.
Topic of today: Cultural heritage
How? Let students take pictures of things and describe what
cultural things they are proud of and willing to share with
others - ie. the world.
Why?
Goals:
1. From a student perspective you are able to
determine what they think is their cultural heritage
2. Learning from others about cultural heritage from
their point of view.
3. Show and share to others will definitely bring the
quality of the shared work to a higher level (due to
the fact that others instead of just the teacher are
watching as well)
When working together make sure that you as a teacher remark the students with the basic
principle that collaborating with each other is based on equality. Especially when collaborating
with students from other countries make sure that students have these two things in mind:
reciprocity
and
equivalence
Remember:
created by #smartee Emil Waldhauser and me.
SMART amp workspace:
- 4 groups
- contribute to three items:
1. built environment
2. natural environment
3. artefacts
