INTRODUCTION.
 BORON INNOVATIONS PVT. LTD., Bhavnagar is an identity
created by panel of high qualified specialized scientists,
whose aim is to protect and deliver the environment, with
Nucleation Center at CHARUSAT University & Large - Scale
production at DHARA BIOTECH, innovative Enzymes
Technology has been developed for disposal of sewage
wastes, making earthen roads and constructing low cost
    earthen mud houses.
 Company’s Vision is to make this technology reach ‘the
    common people’. Go Green With

ENZYME BASED SOIL STABILIZATION?
         A process of using multi-enzyme
        based formulation developed as an
        effective aid to the workability,
        mixibility, binding and compaction of
        SOIL

Environmental benefits:
 Minimizes material loss of surface gravel on soil roadways due to
                erosion or abrasion by traffic.
 Reduces the ongoing cost and environmental impact of the
purchase, transport and spreading of replacement gravel.
 Minimizes the harmful production and use of crushed rock and
historical mineral stabilizers in road construction and maintenance.
 Reduces fuel usage associated with frequent, short interval road
                repairs.
 Lessens the impact of open gravel mines and pits.

 Terms Used in Road Construction
Terms Used in Road Construction
The Challenge faced when dealing with site
        Engineers:
 Existing pavement design methods cater to relatively high
volumes of traffic with damaging effect quantified in terms
of ESA (equivalent standard axles). In contrast, main
factors controlling deterioration of LVRs (Low Volume
Roads) are dominated by the local road environment and
details of design (drainage), construction and maintenance
                practice.
 Conventional specs apply to “ideal” materials
 Standard methods of test do not always give a true
assessment of performance of local materials
Go Green With
 Bio-Enzymes
Primary Problem faced:
 “ The art of the roads engineer consists for a good part in
utilizing specifications that will make possible the use of
materials he finds in the vicinity of the road works.
Unfortunately, force of habit, inadequate specifications
and lack of initiative have suppressed the use of local
          materials and innovative construction technologies”
 Consider materials’ “fitness for purpose”

 Make specification fit materials rather than materials fit
          specification (“resource based” specs)
Go Green With
 Bio-Enzymes
Pavement Performance:
Selection of material for construction:
 Material strength derived from combination of:
                - Cohesive effects
                - Soil suction
                - Physio-chemical (stab) forces
                - Inter-particle friction
         Material selection influenced by:
                - Traffic loading
                - Environment
                - Material properties (plastic mod)
                - Pavement configuration

  • 57. The Challenge faced when dealing with site Engineers:  Existing pavement design methods cater to relatively high volumes of traffic with damaging effect quantified in terms of ESA (equivalent standard axles). In contrast, main factors controlling deterioration of LVRs (Low Volume Roads) are dominated by the local road environment and details of design (drainage), construction and maintenance practice.  Conventional specs apply to “ideal” materials  Standard methods of test do not always give a true assessment of performance of local materials Go Green With Bio-Enzymes
  • 58. Primary Problem faced:  “ The art of the roads engineer consists for a good part in utilizing specifications that will make possible the use of materials he finds in the vicinity of the road works. Unfortunately, force of habit, inadequate specifications and lack of initiative have suppressed the use of local materials and innovative construction technologies”  Consider materials’ “fitness for purpose”  Make specification fit materials rather than materials fit specification (“resource based” specs) Go Green With Bio-Enzymes
