3. Introduction to Capsule Camera
. Pill camera can be defined as a device having the
shape of a pill and consists of a tiny camera. Pill
camera is also known as capsule camera. The
normal Pill Camera is sized around 26 X 11 mm.

 Capsule is swallowed by the patient like a
conventional pill.
 It takes images as it is propelled forward by
peristalsis.
 A wireless recorder, worn on a belt, receives
the images transmitted by the pill.
 A computer workstation processes the data
and produces a continuous still images.

good candidates for this procedure due to the risk of obstruction.
2. One disadvantage is that capsule endoscopy is whole day process.
3. The Pill will get stucked if there is a partial obstruction in
the small intestine.
4. Impossible to control Camera behavior.
5. Limited battery life.
6. It is very expensive and not reusable

Technology of the 21st century.
