FUNDS ASSESSMENT PROPOSAL
Spr 2023
Introduction
Here at Liberty High, we are seeking funds from the newly passed Educational
Advancement Fund for public schools in order to help students that are at risk
develop their reading, math and technology skills and to also provide students with a
Reset Room. My goal is for students to improve their math and technological skills
and also increase their reading skills by at least one grade level and also help with
behavioral management. The funding of $500,000 is requested for staffing salaries,
technology, building and literacy materials for our school.
Shared Vision Statement
We are all dedicated to making our school a place where students feel free to
explore their interests, take intellectual risks, and develop as people and members of
society. We will be successful if we provide a demanding, current, and suited to each
student's needs curriculum to promote collaboration, critical thinking, and original
problem-solving. We will aim to establish a community that promotes diversity and
fairness while also being safe, polite, and hospitable to students, faculty, and the general
public.

● 8.5% Hispanic
GOALS
1. Enable students at lower reading levels to access advanced technology in the school
library to study and research, and also provide them a vast array of text that coincide with
their classroom learning materials.
2. Provide multi sensory reading alternatives to increase reading spread and ability to read
independently.
3. Use all additional staffing to ensure that gaps are being filled and increase student
deficiency in the learning process.
4. Enable staff and students to better manage behavior issues.
5. Be able to accommodate students various learning styles.
6. Provide students with opportunities to see and interact with various mathematical
concepts.
7. Provide alternative route to help students with their mental health.

The Reset Room
The goal of the reset room is to create a space for students to come and learn how to manage
their behavior and relationships. Our belief is that students use the Reset Room as a place to
calm down, gather their thoughts and resolve any issues, thus fostering a more positive learning
environment, improve upon students mental health and academic achievement.
After School Tutoring
The after school tutoring program will provide students with
opportunities to engage in more personalized instruction, offer safe and
supportive learning environment, improve cognitive development, and
foster a more positive attitude towards learning.

Library
The LHS Library will provide students with a welcoming and supportive
environment. The library will be committed to ensuring that students
graduate as competent and ethical users of information technologies
with strong intellectual curiosity as well as a life-long love of reading,
learning, and independent thinking.
