Salute
The Kontro Quarterly Salutes Darren Martin
Darren (aka Daz) Martin has enjoyed a storied career at both Sundyne and HMD Kontro,
along with other “outside” engineering credits. In July 1988, a very young Daz began as a
Technical Apprentice that four years later led to an internal sales position overseeing Europe and
Asia. Subsequently, he served as a Project Engineer and then as External Area Sales Engineer.
A recent promotion named Daz as Sundyne Strategic Account Manager.
Most notably, Darren has been instrumental in the development of
the Stock Depot/Distribution model. As HMD began to directly deal
with the Americas’ Channel Partner network, Daz became regional
Sales Engineer. He, along with colleagues Robert Watling (Spring)
and Colin Guppy, were essential in helping to create the Stock
Depot concept that so successfully serves Channel Partners and
customers today.
As a long-standing member of a local club, Daz enjoys a good
game of golf, sporting a handicap index of 11.1 under the new
World Handicap System.
The Kontro Quarterly proudly salutes Darren Martin for 17 successful,
very productive years with HMD Kontro.
