Project Name:AdviseHR (From September-14 to till date)
Description: AdviseHR Commercial Support is a technology platform that supports IBM’s Managed Business
Process Services HR outsourcing business. Corporates can outsource their HR administrative functions to IBM
and pay by the features and services that they use. The clientele includes names like Avon, Air Canada, BMS,
Pfizer and Unilever, to name a few. The two key components of AdviseHR are the Knowledge Base (KB) and
Call & Case Manager (Siebel). The KB is the component that interfaces with the employees seeking answers to
their HR related queries. The Call and case manager application is an interface primarily used by Agents to
track calls, find and provide answers to employee's queries, and generate reports for assessing statistics. The
AdviseHR team has around 14 members of varied skill sets belonging to different components. The goal of the
project is to reduce costs via effective use of IBM India Resources, enhance efficiency and quality through
process improvements, and free the customer team to focus more heavily on business and data
transformation.
Here, we are working on agile methodology.
Role: Application Developer
Technologies: Java/J2EE, CRM/ERP, IBM’s WebSphere Application Server.
Tool Used: RAPID CRM, Clarify CRM and Zendesk Cloud CRM (Ticketing Tool), RDCM (Remote
desktop connections manager for connecting to windows based servers during deployments).
Responsibilities:
As a software engineer, my primary responsibility is to handle administration for both the mentioned CRMs
(Clarify and RAPID) and deploy new solutions (features) to the product using WAS in KB (Knowledge Base).
Some of my other responsibilities included:
- Regular interaction with architect and technical team lead to concur on solution designs and documentation
of Clarify CRM along with knowledge of E-mail Manager. Clarify CRM includes clients like Marathon Oil
Company (MOC), British Petroleum (BP), IBM, XL Group (XL Catlin) and many more.
- providing regular status update to my project manager and team lead
- Co-ordinating with the QA team for defect fixing and tracking.
3. - Being admin of both CRMs , I am responsible for all RAPID (Remote Approval and Processing of Image
Documents) CRM Admin related L2 tickets and user revalidations (on Quarterly basis) and also Clarify CRM
Admin related L2 tickets, users revalidations (Yearly basis) and CRM development during decommissions.
- Deploying the code in Test as well as in CVT environment and co-ordinating with support team for code
migration to upstream environments like Staging, Pre-Production and Production along with deployments in
WAS server via RDCM.
- RAPID (Remote Approval and Processing of Image Documents) CRM includes clients like Air Canada, Applied
Materials, Linde, Jarden and many more.
- Also started working on SaaS based Zendesk Cloud Platform recently. Zendesk is a cloud platform CRM
application used for receiving L2 tickets.
