PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
10/05 to 07/16 Tulsa, Ok.
PROJECT MANAGER (COVERS LAST 11 YEARS)
TULSA PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Performed Project Management duties for the IT Operations Department using project
management methodologies while training for my PMP certification
Data Enclosure Project; 1/2015 to 6/2016. Project Manager on a project to expand the
existing second data center into a disaster recovery site. This included the installation of a
donated data enclosure with dual power distribution units, dual battery back-up units the
migrating of the existing servers, the installation of a generator and automatic transfer
switch, redundant HVAC units and expansion of the server room. The bond department
delayed this project because of an electrical upgrade they were doing at the facility.
Metro Ethernet Project. PM role from 2/1/2016 to 7/22/2016. This project required
scheduling vendor access for installation of vendor equipment at 100 locations and
scheduling the network programming changes needed for existing equipment to
communicate with the vendor equipment. This project changed each site from a shared one
gig uplink to a dedicated one gig uplink per site and a 10 gig link between the main data
center and the disaster recovery data center.
Phone System Replacement Project; I assisted the PM by creating documents, schedules,
tracking of the project and storage locations for documentation. Also surveyed the
locations for phone location and end user information.
Server 2003 Migration Project; 7/2015 to 12/2016. TPS 100 plus servers that were no
longer supported. Some were decommissioned after data was migrated some required
application upgrades prior to migration. Some were being replaced through Bond project
initiatives.
Windows 7 Re-image Project; 8/2014 to 4/2015. This project required the creation of an
image and scheduling testing with all applications for 100% usability. A few systems had
to be updated or patched for functionality. Multiple departments were involved in this
project.
Infragard member since 2015; I receive security information from the FBI as new threats
are determined. I shared this information with Network and Data Engineers so they could
use the provided solutions and adjust the firewalls. I have taken some classes towards a
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) but have not completed the
training. This training has assisted me in providing key input towards the purchase of
equipment and software to create a secure network.
Scholastics District Project; PM role from 8/2013 to 3/2014 Budgeted $750,000.00 used
$684,000.00. This was an infrastructure project working closely with a vendor adding fiber
and copper as needed over 168 mini projects. The outcome of this project reduced network
bottlenecks and increased speed for the end user.
IT Consultant for Bond construction projects that required technology. I insured that the
documented Tulsa Public Schools wiring and hardware standards were met. Visited with end
users at each site for technology growth needs.
Project Administrator for the IT budget; monitoring and balancing the Information
