2. His full name is Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama. She was
born on January 17, 1964. She is an American lawyer and wife
of Barack Obama.
3. Michelle Obama was born and raised in Chicago. She graduated
from Princeton University and years later, Harvard University.
4. After finishing her university studies, she returned to
Chicago and began working in the law firm Sidley Austin,
while, worked for Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, and
also for the University of Chicago.
5. Her father, Fraser Robinson was employed in a water plant, while
her mother, Marian Robinson Shields worked as a secretary. In
her ancestry is Jim Robinson, a slave born in South Carolina,
where she still retains much of her family.

1981. Then she studied sociology and African American
Studies at Princeton University, where in 1985,
graduating cum laude graduate in Arts. His graduation
thesis at Princeton, was called "Princeton - educated
blacks and the black community."

It was at Harvard where she was involved in politics,
claiming that the university authorities employ
minority teachers.
8. She worked as assistant commissioner of planning and
development in the mayor of Chicago, and shortly
thereafter founded the Chicago chapter of Public
Allies, an AmeriCorps program that prepares young
people for public service, where she assumed the
directorship executive.

In 1992 they married, and in 1998 was born their first
daughter, Malia Ann. Three years later, gave birth to their
second and last daughter, Natasha.
10. In 1996, Michelle came to the University of Chicago with the
vision and purpose of establishing links between the campus
and community. As associate dean of student services, she
developed the first community service program, and under
her leadership as vice president of external affairs and
Community Medical Center, University of Chicago, the
volunteer activities on campus and the community increased
considerably.
11. As first lady, Michelle Obama wants to keep working on
those carriers that are closest to her heart - support
for families with relatives in the armed forces,
assistance to women seeking to balance work and
family, and a new called to promote national service.
