by N. Korea - TBD
The exact types of weapons used to fire
rounds on Tuesday on Yeonpyeong Island
have yet to be identified, but it appears a
variety of arms were used.
South Korea's military said the attack
came as its forces conducted an annual
exercise on/near Yeonpyeong island,
which lies approx. 12 kilometers off the
North Korean coast in the West Sea. They
said the North had previously objected to
the exercise.

7. Does Korea Still Have Support of Free World?
• As N. Korean provocations continue
and even escalate, the question
that must be asked is whether or
not S. Korea still has the resolute
support of her allies? And, if
so…what are they going to do?
• The United States, which has tens
of thousands of troops stationed in
South Korea, condemned the attack
and called on North Korea to "halt
its belligerent action," White House
Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said.
