On the other hand, more candidates, more choice, more negotiation flexibility. Europe 2021 overview Initial: 3,255,430 job ads Week 1 (January 4, 2021) Final: 3,099,742 job ads Week 49 (December 6, 2021) Result: -4.78% The first half of 2021 showed a very strong upward tendency, despite 3 weeks of numbers dropping a little at the beginning of May. The number of job ads peaked at the end of June and then dropped drastically. Since the end of July, the job ad level has slowly been increasing and might soon reach the one from the beginning of 2021. July 26 June 28

Thus, the tendencies of both are similar: an increase in the first half of 2021, a peak at the end of June, a drastic decrease at the end of July, and a slow recovery that came after. July 26 June 28

The June job ad peak took place 2 weeks before, and the summer decrease two weeks after the phenomenon was observed in the rest of Europe. August 2 June 14
