2. Overview
I’m Carly, a senior at The George
Washington University in
Washington, D.C. studying
Business Administration with a
concentration in Marketing. I am
moving to NYC this summer to
intern and pursue career
opportunities as a young creative.
3. What was my goal?
To spread awareness about FindSpark at The George
Washington University in Washington, D.C. and create a
community of students who share a common interest in
pursuing a career in the creative industries in New York City.
4. Did I meet my goal?
Yes, I believe I met my goal. I think I spread awareness
of FindSpark at The George Washington University. My
classmates interested in pursuing careers in the creative
industries were excited to learn about FindSpark.
5. Did I meet my objectives?
I did not meet the objective of driving 300 views to the
FindSpark website, but I came close. I drove 206 total
views to the website using bit.ly/FindSparkGW.
I think I could have done better, but I am happy with my view
count. I also shared specific, event-related links several
times instead of the trackable bit.ly link.
7. Facebook
This was my first
Facebook post about
FindSpark. 19 people
liked my status
update, and many
more stopped me on
campus and
messaged me to find
out more.
15. Twitter
I had a great time at #FindSparkFest. I connected with representatives from The Barbarian Group,
BuzzFeed, Livestream, MKG, and more. Meeting Tatiana Milcent (a fellow Campus Ambassador!) from MKG
led to a series of interviews for a summer internship position.
Pictured beside me in Emily’s twitter photo is Cj Ballesteros, a senior at GW.
Cj is a young creative pursuing a career in Film and Television in Los Angeles, CA, but he found
#FindSparkFest to be an extremely valuable networking opportunity. He especially enjoyed connecting with
the representatives from LiveStream.
18. Activation
I handed out information and moderated a
discussion about FindSpark in rehearsal with The
GW Pitches, as well as in my Integrated
Marketing Communications class.
