The student learned many challenging but important concepts in their major subject, including how to take clear x-ray images by calculating exposure factors, the parts and operation of x-ray machines, and who discovered x-rays and when. Additionally, the student learned about different types of ions and radiation, how Bremsstrahlung radiation is produced, radioactivity and its occurrence, x-ray tube components, and the characteristics of different types of x-rays. Overall, the student found their knowledge expanded on technical radiology topics through challenging but interesting lessons in their first year of study.
