interests by posting, also known as
"pinning", images or videos.

          What are people doing on Pinterest?
For example, you can add a pin to a
                                           board by cutting and pasting the url
                                           from the site where the object was
                                           found.




The pin will then “populate” by grabbing
photos from the url you entered.
The Pin will then show up on your Board and in the “pinfeed” of all
the people who have opted to follow your Pins.
If someone likes your Pin, they can “like” or comment on it . . .
. . . Or, they can “repin” my Pin onto one of their Boards.
But (and here’s the
real beauty of
Pinterest), if
someone clicks
twice on my
Pin, they will be
taken to the
website where I
found the item in
the first place.

Now the person
who liked my Pin
enough to click on
it knows exactly
where to go to buy
the item.

Like Facebook and Twitter, Pinterest can also be used to improve SEO rankings.
Some ways to use Pinterest to help with SEO are:

1. Link Pinterest to a Twitter/Facebook page
2. Add “Pin it” buttons to your website
3. Frequently include links to your website in your pins
4. Add keywords to your pins to push them up in the search
   rankings
5. Accumulate links that point back to your website from
   Pinterest.

  • 6. Who’s On Pinterest? 68.2% women Age Demographics: 12 to 17 – 4.1% 18 to 24 – 17.3% 25 to 34 – 27.4% 35 to 44 – 22.1% 45 to 54 – 17.9% 28.1% of users have an annual household income of $100,000+ While more spenders are on Facebook, the bigger spenders are on Pinterest.

  • 16. For example, you can add a pin to a board by cutting and pasting the url from the site where the object was found. The pin will then “populate” by grabbing photos from the url you entered.
  • 17. The Pin will then show up on your Board and in the “pinfeed” of all the people who have opted to follow your Pins.
  • 18. If someone likes your Pin, they can “like” or comment on it . . .
  • 19. . . . Or, they can “repin” my Pin onto one of their Boards.
  • 20. But (and here’s the real beauty of Pinterest), if someone clicks twice on my Pin, they will be taken to the website where I found the item in the first place. Now the person who liked my Pin enough to click on it knows exactly where to go to buy the item.
