3. Main Entrance – A Gateway to Health, Wealth & Prosperity!
It predicts many things about the occupants in the house in terms of nature and especially health &
overall living condition. Likewise human body has a mouth serving as an entry gate or door for food
& other substances, main door of your house mirrors entry or gateway for positive or negative
energies.
Do’s -
1) Auspicious directions - East to North direction zone, South of SouthEast & West of
NorthWest.
2) The Main Door should be the tallest & largest as compared to all internal room doors.
3) It should be superior in beauty to them. Avoid keeping it dull & drab.
4) Always affix your name plate on the main door, auspicious religious symbols & keep it well
lit with bright lights to attract prosperity, health, wealth & happiness into lives of your
family.
5) Main Entrance should always have Threshold (Umbaratha) preferably madeof wood.
6) It has the importance of completing the fourth side of the door i.e. making ‘Choukhat’ (Four
arms of the rectangular).
7) In any case your house must have a threshold at entrance to ensure discipline, abiding to
human values & morals.
8) Entrance with two doors opening inside & clockwise directions allowing free flow of
positive energy to enter your house is auspicious.
9) Entrance doors should be noise free while opening or closing to avoid disputes in your
house.

4. 10) Your entrance should be free from any obstructions in front of it such as lamp post,
electricity pole, staircase, big trees or obstruction of any other form.
11) The number of Doors and Windows in the house should be in even numbers like 2,4,6,8,etc
Don’ts -
1) It is better to avoid constructing threshold out of marble or any other stones or materials.
2) There should not be a main door of other resident, temple, dead end of road, T-junction
from negative direction exactly opposite to your main entrance.
3) Doors should not be on the centre of any wall.
4) Avoid sliding, slanting or circular entrance doors & do not keep any garbage or dustbin
near to it as it emits negative energy.
5) Avoid underground tank, septic tank etc. under a home’s main door.
Living room / Drawing Room – Your gathering room!
It is evident that a positive entrance door allows positive energies to enter into your house & vice
versa. Thereby either it attracts health, wealth, prosperity & happiness into lives of your family or
distress, disharmony, ill health, loss of wealth depending upon placement of your main door. So
naturally after entering your house the first place for these energies (positive or negative) to settle
down is your living room or drawing room.
It is a place whereby you socialize with your guests, friends and distant relatives. It also facilitates to
share private time with your family members doing activities like watchingTV, playing video games,
family discussions and everything that your family loves to do together. This is because human
beings like to gather for various reasons & this is the place of their gathering – the place where you

following auspicious directions. In case it is placed in negative directions, a proper guidance will be

Do’s -
1) Auspicious directions - East to North direction zone, Northwest, South of SouthEast
& West of NorthWest.
2) A living room should be well decorated, well illuminated, clutter or garbage free, neat &
clean.
3) Get maximum windows & open spaces in this room to allow ample of morning sunrays with
beneficial Ultraviolet rays entering into your house.
4) Keep North to East region of this room lightweight & low height furniture.
5) Cover the windows from North to East region with light curtains & use thick cotton red
coloured curtains for windows in Southwest.
6) A fish tank, any water pictures like calm sea, flowing rivers or fountains should always be kept
in North to East region of your living room being predominant of Water element.
7) A wall unit, book shelf or any heavy furniture should occupy South, Southwest or West
region of this room.
8) The master or host of the family should always be facing East, North or Northeast while
sitting with outsiders or guests to keep dominance & hold control over them.
9) Allow your guests to occupy a position at North, Northeast or East region of this room by
facing South 0r Southwest directions thereby not allowing them to supersede you.

Stair case – Sure stepping stone to success!
Staircases or stairs are essential part of each and every multistory house & they are of extreme
importance. A staircase not complying with rules and regulations of Vastushastra leads to frequent
accidents, loss of wealth and mental tension. On the contrary, if stairs are located and built as per
vastu, they can lead to earn wealth, health and peace of mind.
It was observed by us in most of the cases that a family or an individual faces abovementioned
problems whereby the staircase of home was the root cause of all the problems due to non
compliance with Vastu principles. The major consequences range from major to minor. Financial
issues like Loss of wealth, debt and bankruptcy; Family issues like disputes within family members,
mental tension and stress & Health problems like recurrent accidents, health problems of children in
a family & blood pressure are some of the instances.

time. Just apply some simple staircase Vastu tips in your home to bring happiness & wellness to you
and your family.
Here are some guidelines –
Do’s -

7. 1) Auspicious directions – Southwest, South (2nd
best), West (3rd
best) & Northwest (last

2) The slope of the staircase should be from South (high) to North (low) & from West (high) to
East (low).
3) The number of risers must be an odd figure like 5, 7, 11 etc. & should never end in whole
figures like10s, 20s etc.
4) Use clockwise staircase always & utilize the area under stair case as a store room only.
5) Immediately repair any kind of cracks within stair cases as they may lead to family disputes &
accidents in some cases.
Don’ts -
1) Do not ever construct stair case at from North to East region & Southeast.
2) This leads to heavy financial losses, hampering progress & success, career degrowth, rising
mental tensions & severe health problems to the master (Northeast) & fear of fire or theft
(Southeast).
3) One must avoid making first step of stair case round or circular shaped.
4) It is strictly prohibited to construct them in Brahma or centre region of your house as per
Vastushastra principles.
5) Never ever construct almirah(cupboard), cash locker, bathroom, dining, toilet, kitchen, study
room, bedroom or God’s abode below stair case.
6) Avoid circular stair case at any cost that leads to sever health problems.
7) Repair any kind of cracks within stair cases as they may lead to family disputes & accidents in
some cases.
Dining area – Let’s have a Déjà woo!
The food consumed by you and your family tends to influence the thinking pattern, behaviour and
way of living. Not only food which you eat daily could have such an impact on your life but the
location i.e. where you eat is equally important. This area is really important because where you eat
ensures that the food consumed has constructive and positive effects on family members. It is even
hard to imagine the outcome of food being negative and destructive in influence on family
members.

8. However, even if you don’t have your dining area in a positive zone, you need not worry but to rely
on our master guidance! Just follow our simple tips for Kitchen also along with Dining area.
However, before dining follow some simple tips –
Do’s -
a) Always maintain a pleasant, happy & lively atmosphere among your family members before
consuming your food.
b) Avoid any kind of disputes, abusing or tensed situations before consuming your food.
c) Having a family prayer before consuming food stabilizes your mind.
d) If possible avoid talking (or talk less & polite) or gossiping while having your food.
e) Do not ever insult your food by leaving away or wasting unwanted extra substances or by
blaming on taste factors.
f) Rather try to consume food which is really needed & avoid its overconsumption.
g) Avoid watching TV set while consuming food as far as possible (which seems impossible in
today’s scenario) but try it consciously.
h) Playing a light music in the background seems ok to keep you in happy mood.
Here are some guidelines for your dining room -
1) Auspicious directions – Northwest, West & to some extent in East.
2) The reason behind this is Northwest & West regions are predominant of Infrared rays that
have an instinct of killing all the germs, insects & impurities arising in this area.
3) Apply some bright colours like orange, yellow, pink or white on walls here.
4) You can apply pictures of mouth watering dishes, fruits & green vegetables on the walls here
to arouse hunger.
5) Dining table should be square or rectangular in shape & avoid any circular or unevenly
shaped dining table.
6) The master, host or owner of the family should always occupy the seat in Southwest corner
of this table & facing East.

9. 7) This enables his dominance on the entire family while other members may face East Or
North.
8) You can have your wash basin & drinking water in Northeast corner of this room.
9) If your dining area is in living room (which is observed in most of the cases) then always
create a partition for demarcation there & then apply Vastushastra principles as suggested
above.
Don’ts -
1) No one should ever face South while dining to avoid family disputes.
2) Do not keep your dining table under a beam & touching the wall.
3) Avoid constructing a toilet adjacent to this area but a space for washing clothes or utensils
here is allowed.
4) Your dining table should not be folded or oozing out of the wall.
God’s Abode – The most divine & pious place – AUM Shanti:

We human beings have become so selfish that we remind God only in case of any distress or being
surrounded by problems. We simply forget him when we are busy enjoying every bit of our life. Tell
me frankly, what can be the biggest distress than this? We should always keep in mind that we all
are brought in this world only by the grace of God. In our acting life we all are just mediums of God
& he is the ultimate master. But as everyone is aware that we are moving through ‘kaliyuga’ & by its
virtue it is hard to find true devotees these days. Everyone craves about problems but have you ever
thought that their solution lies in your own house itself! Wondered!?!? Let’s see how.
While planning a house, we have various excuses like space constraints, furniture & decorum
budget, which colours are best for my living room & which is better for my bedroom & bla bla bla. It
is good to have a plan for everything. But doing so many people tend to ignore for allocating a
separate space for Pooja room. (Unfortunately) After settling everything our last option is placement
of God’s abode. This place normally lies somewhere in the kitchen of most of the people. See how
selfish we human beings are? The one who disposes when we propose anything & once our purpose
is solved we simply pat our own back without realizing the actual source of your achievement; the
Ultimate supreme Almighty! How true? Isn’t it?
But we must not sideline the need to make a place for GOD. Thus by creating a dedicated room for
worshipping, we are creating a room to get bestowed with positive vibrations every moment and
that energy is vital to energize our body, mind & soul for the whole day. You just can’t measure the
magnitude of God’s grace which reflects in terms of your career growth, money inflow, sound heath,
happy married life, progeny & coordination, harmony within family your members. However you
must carefully select the place to permanently establish your sanctity for avoiding all kinds of

10. distress, misfortune, disharmony & unavoidable circumstance in your life. Remember it is the most
pious & sacred place of your house. It is recommended to abide to rules & regulations of
Vastushastra while allocatingthis most auspicious space to your deity.
For the grace of your deity, follow our simple tips as under –
Do’s -
1) Auspicious directions - North-east corner of entire home (& please do not confuse it
with that of any particular room). East (2nd
best) & North (3rd
option).
2) Always keep your Pooja ghar slightly above the ground level to provide respect towards our
sanctity. It is considered inauspicious to be at the same level of God & hence offer him a
position higher than your seat level.
3) One should always face Northeast or East Or North during worship.
4) It is highly auspicious to keep Meruprushtha Shreeyantra & Lord Kuber at your Pooja
room to be bestowed by the grace of them & to bring in prosperity, health, wealth & peace
to your family.
5) During your daily worship, make a habit of chanting holy hymns (Stotras) loudly & not just
murmuring in mind.
6) The pyramid shaped roof of Pooja room is considered very auspicious.
7) Prefer white, light yellow or light blue colours for walls of Pooja room.
8) Always maintain piousness & holiness within this place by avoiding any kind of clutter,
unlawful or unethical deeds & any kind of abuse.
9) Always illuminate your Pooja room with a modest possible light but never keep it under dark.
10) Always keep a ‘Mangal Kalasha’ (divine copper vessel) filled with water & a coconut
immersed in it in Northeast part of this room.
11) Apply various scented dhoop sticks with pleasant smell during your worship to purify the
atmosphere & mystify your mind.
12) One idol & a photo of the same Deity is permissible.
13) Light camphor on daily basis while worshiping.
14) You can place a lamp in south-east or eastern side of this room.
15) Always light a lamp of cow’s ghee at morning & prefer Thil oil at evening.
16) In Pooja room, prefer to use copper vessels to collect water.
17) Ideal Gods in your Pooja room – Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva’s Pindi (not any photo of statue),
Goddess Mahalakshmi, Balakrishna, Goddess Annapurna, Panchmukhi Hanuman, Lord
Gurudatta, your family God’s (Kuldevata)photo or idol, some of your favourite Deities
(Ishtadevata) & Swami Samartha.

11. 18) The reason behind worshipping Swami Samartha is because current period of kaliyuga being
governed by him. He is just like your immediate boss! So by adhering to his favours will
protect & make you free from all your worries.
19) If Northeast direction of your house falls in kitchen then give first preference to God’s abode
before planning anything there.
20) In this case you can allot this room either to elderly people i.e. your parents or your children
as a possible solution.
21) Of course while doing so you must be able to balance the sacredness & holiness of the place
while you cook any non-vegetarian food or during the menstruation of female members in
the family.
Don’ts -
1) Never keep your Pooja room at centre (Brahmasthana), Southwest, South, Southeast &
West of your residential (or commercial premises).
2) It is highly inauspicious to keep in those directions as it gives rise to Pitrudosha.
3) Never keep broken / cracked idols or wracked photos of Deities.
4) Never keep idols facing each other.
5) Avoid keeping 2 idols or 2 photos of the same Deity in your Pooja room as it causes clashes
within your family members. It doesn’t prove that you are much devoted to God either!
6) Avoid storing anything above the God’s abode & never keep it below any slab or beam,
staircase & within basement.
7) Never keep it on a wall adjacent to toilet or bathroom.
8) Never keep photos of departed souls or dead relatives in your Pooja room.
9) Newly married or middle aged couple should never occupy this room to maintain the purity
& piousness of this room.
10) Avoiding any kind of physical relationships there.
11) Never sleep pointing your feet towards God.
12) Avoid worshipping Gods during menstruation of ladies & do not even light any lamp for 5
days (if not then at least for first 3 days). Preferably keep Pooja ghar covered during this
period.
13) Never keep any photos of violence, tragic scenes, distressful events, lust, evils, wild animals or
of embarrassing moments within the vicinity of God’s abode.
However people who don’t have the privilege of a separate Pooja room should not panic at all. You
can still follow our guidelines in best possible way & get bestowed with God’s grace by placing your
‘Pooja ghar’(Devghar) at one of the auspicious directions mentioned in the beginning. Remember
one thing; God is hungry of your devotion & not of your lucrative offerings. So whatever you do to
please him, perform it with complete dedication & respect towards your almighty. Just by merely
placing God’s abode at proper place is not going to solve your purpose.
Kitchen – Wife’s gateway to enter into Hubby’s heart via
stomach!

12. Kitchen is the most important part of house & must be placed in proper place i.e Southeast
governed by Fire element. Kitchen is the major part of your home contributing towards
general health and well-being of occupants (mainly ladies in your family).
This is the area predominant of Ultraviolet rays in the morning & Infrared rays at the noon. Both
have the germicidal property & thereby increasing hygienic property & purity of cooked recipe. The
ladies of your family (or say any cook) spend most of their time in this area. So any defects in this
area affect health of ladies in the family. You can term it as a ‘female power centre’ of your house.
One must keep in mind that morning sunrays rich with Ultraviolet rays enter through Sahastrar or
Crown chakra of the lady & circulate this energy to all body parts. Thus it assists in maintaining
physical & mental wellness (fitness) of that lady. Just keep in mind that master lady is the backbone
& balancing arena of your house. So you can’t even imagine a situation whereby the master lady
gets hampered due to major health issues thereby putting welfare of entire family at stake.
Any Vastu non-compliant kitchen can cause Health problems affecting mental & physical health of
ladies (minor to major gynaec problems) and of head of the family to some extent & may result into
severe diseases. It multiplies unwanted expenses & debts of your family. Additionally it causes
disputes within your family members & may even extend towards unsatisfied married life, extra
marital affairs & finally resulting into divorce.
Follow our simple guidelines to rectify vastu defects in your kitchen –
Do’s -
1) Auspicious direction – Only Southeast being predominant of Fire element.
2) The cooking gas must be placed in Southeast in such a way that the lady you’re your cook)
should always face East direction while cooking.
3) It is considered auspicious to offer some of the cooked food to Lord Agni before you
consume it for peace & prosperity.
4) Construct platform in East & Southeast region of your kitchen.

13. 5) Keep refrigerator, microwave oven or any other electronic instruments in the Southeast or
South area of your kitchen.
6) Northeast end of your kitchen platform should be slightly away from the wall.
7) Store your drinking water in Northeast area & distant from your cooking gas.
8) Place your sink in Northeast area of the platform.
9) Place wall units for storage purpose in Southwest, South or West region of your kitchen.
10) A dining table should not be kept at the centre but in Northwest or West area of your
kitchen.
11) It is recommended to have some windows in East. Larger windows in the kitchen should be
in Eastern side while small ventilators should be placed in South.
12) Gas cylinder should be kept in Southeast area.
13) Exhaust fan should be fixed in East or Northwest direction.
14) Yellow, orange, rose, chocolate or red as floor and wall colours are suited to your kitchen.
Don’ts -
1) Do not keep utensils unwashed overnight & make sure to clean your platform before
sleeping.
2) Never construct your kitchen adjacent to bathroom or toilet wall.
3) It should not be above or below of toilet, bathroom, God’s abode & bedroom.
4) Your toilet door should never face a kitchen.
Master Bedroom – Romancing the Romance!
A bedroom in any house is considered as a highly privatized zone. This is the place of your
relaxation that confers happiness by resting your mind & body. About one third of our day is spent
in bedroom. Nearly 8 hours are spent here for sleeping & sharing your private emotions. Therefore
the stability of the master of the house is directly proportional to bedroomof the house.

14. The most obvious reason to design your master bedroom in Southwest region is due the
predominance of Earth element in this area. By its virtue it indicates inertia or heaviness &
immobility means it provides stability (mental, physical & financial) to both husband & wife
occupying this bedroom. This also enhances their decision making abilities, self confidence &
dominance over others.
Follow our simple guidelines to ensure a happy married life & stability in your relationship –
Do’s -
1) Auspicious directions – Southwest, South (2nd
choice) & Southeast (last option).
2) It is highly auspicious to construct your master bedroom in Southwest corner of your house.
3) Preferably it should be occupied by a newly married couple for happy married life &
stability in their relationship.
4) Make it a tradition to handover master bedroom of Southwest to your Son after marriage &
get yourself shifted to Northeast or any other bedroom for maintaining harmony within
your family.
5) However if they are the main responsibility holders of the family then it has more beneficial
effect on them.
6) Always keep joint photograph/s of the couple in happy moods on Southwest or South wall
to promote solid bonding & healthy love relationship between them.
7) It is highly auspicious to install a photograph of Balakrishna in Northwest corner of their
bedroom.
8) While sleeping always keep your head towards South & legs towards north to ensure good
health, improved immunity & sound sleep.
9) Prefer a wooden bed over wrought iron bed & keep it 3-4 inches away from the wall.
10) Always apply a single mattress on a double bed.
11) Always prefer square or rectangular shaped bed, just 1-1.5 ft of height & 2-3 inches
above ground level with 4 legs.
12) Keep your dressing table with / without mirror in East or North area.
13) Always keep tumbled Pink rose quartz or in the form of solid rock in Southwest
corner to facilitate & maintain healthy love relationship between you & spouse.
14) Any wall units, heavy wardrobes or Almirah to be constructed in Southwest, South or West
area of this room & their doors should open towards East or North direction
15) It is preferable to keep your safe deposit vault in Southwest corner of this room with its
doors opening towards East or North to preserve your golden jewellery, precious
ornaments, cash & your valuable documents of property or of any other importance.
16) Always cover all the mirrors with curtain before sleeping & do not allow your reflection to
fall into them to prevent you from ill health.
17) In case of a multi storey house, master bedroom should always be in Southwest corner of
the top floor to ensure complete dominance & control over entire family.
18) The elder brother should occupy Southwest bedroom & younger brother must be given
either South or West bedroom.

15. 19) Construct the entrance door of your bedroom in East, North or Northeast direction.
20) Design attached toilets in West or Northwest area of your bedroom.
21) Always keep all electronic gazettes away from you while sleeping for preventing
you from hazardous electromagnetic waves oozing out of them that may disturb
your sleep & affect your health.
Don’ts -
1) Never construct your master bedroom in Northeast or Brahma region.
2) Bedrooms in these regions are strictly prohibited for a newly married couple as it
creates various problems in progeny or conceiving a child & gives rise to prolonged
illness.
3) Never hang any pictures of violence, weeping, sunset, unpleasant sight, distressful
events, lust, evils, wild animals or embarrassing situations in their bedroom.
4) Avoid hanging any of your photographs with unknown people or photo of a third person
with you & spouse in your bedroom. This causes interference in your love relationship. A
bone in flesh! Better avoid it.
5) Never keep single photograph of either a husband or wife to avoid loneliness in their
relationship.
6) Avoid placing bed directly in front of entrance door of bedroom.
7) It is not advisable to design attached toilet & bathroom to your master bedroom. (But
accepting it considering need of the hour & today’s scenario in mind is a wise decision).
8) Do not use double beds in your bedrooms to prevent split in your relationship.
9) Never use circular or irregular shaped bed at any cost.
10) Strictly avoid bed with a mirror attached to it near to your head.
11) Never store anything within your bed nor create any storage space to prevent ill health.
