I'm Choo JiahYi, 20 years old, a Graphic
Design student currently studying in Saito
University College. I’m fond of drawing,
outdoor sporting activities and Netflix.
I was born and raised in Ipoh, Perak since
2000. My family consists of 5 members in-
cluding myself.
I started learning drawing when I was 11
years-old until I completed my secondary
school. I realised that I preferred pictures
over words, thus I used drawings to ex-
press my emotion and feelings.

5. My dream is to become an illustrator by
improving my software and drawing skills.
My goal is to become more confident in
expressing and presenting my thoughts.
MyPaion
My inspiration model is Cloakwork.
Borned and raise in Kuala Lumpur. He is a
multidisciplinary creative who works as a
graffiti artist as well as an illustrator. He
has been painting around the globe for 10
years, with work consisting of both, small
and large scale. his style is quirky, fun and
colourful!
6. Web Design
I learned about the layout of websites, navigation, and
considerations on how to attract consumers to navigate
through the website.
I felt accomplished after completing the digital catalog
and website design. It was initially difficult to edit and
arrange the product images and their information, cre-
ating the design for navigation and so on.
In any industry, websites are widely used as a form of
communication and engagement with the consumers. I
will apply my skills in product arrangement, layout
design, and the principles of navigation
into my works.
8. Corporate Identity System
I learned about simplifying objects by using simple
iconic or graphic elements to present it, as well as
the use of color palettes and typography.
This is my first assignment was using my name to
build my own dessert brand
I have learned from this subject that designing a
logo isn’t as simple as it seems. It has to be kept
simple for understanding and executed elegantly
for viewers to appreciate.
11. Iustration
In this subject I explored rendering and painting
with charcoal, watercolors, color pencils and
acrylics. I learned the different strokes in painting,
drawing on paper and how to digitize Illustrations
in Adobe Photoshop.
I really enjoyed using acrylics and charcoal in my
assignments. Hand drawing is my strength which I
can apply when working in the industry; sketching,
watercolors, color pencils and
charcoal drawing.
14. Packaging Design
I had learned how to create a new template,
keeping the products packed nicely and consider-
ations for their safety.
It was challenging and intensive going through this
subject with a lot of experimentation involved to
develop the best solution; materials, measure-
ments, thickness, etc.
I will apply my accuracy in measurements of the
packaging, functional considerations as well as the
use of materials into my works in the industry.

back. It is utilizing a barn theme
where it can accommodate 5
puppets inside the theatre box.

Succe Story
18. I’ ve been completed my graphic design internship at
Crave Asia Sdn Bhd From June 2020 to October 2020.
I’ve did a lot of tasks and projects such as website
banners, logo design, and brochure design.
It’s really fun and rewarding to wrok on prjects and
see them come to fruition. Even if the projects haven’t
implemented yat. I am left with my good result and
greating learning oppurtunity for how to improve my
work. In addition, I have gained a lot of computer skills
through these projects.
