Music Education:
Xavier University
• Graduated in 2006 with liberal arts degree with an emphasis in music: drums,
percussion, piano, music theory
• Was music major from 2002-2004
• Many solo recitals and ensemble experience et al
• Studied drums with classical player, John Gardner, and jazz player, Erwin Stuckey
• Studied piano with classical players, Sonya Reynolds and the late Donna Buehl
• Studied choral music with Dr. Tom Merrill
• Studied music theory with Dr. Kaleel Skeirik and Dr. Tom Merrill
• At present works and interns at Ambient studios in Cincinnati
Music Performance:
• Began regular local bar gigs at age 16 (1997) as a self taught drummer
• Many high school and college tours as drummer for show choir acts
• Drummer for theater noted for Xavier University’s production of Cabaret
• Many college tours as bass/baritone vocalist with Xavier University’s Concert Choir
• Approximately seven concerts as choral vocalist with Cincinnati Pops
• As mentioned above, many solo recitals and ensemble experience for course
requirement in drums, percussion, and piano
• Spent years improvising with local artists in the “jam band” style encompassing the full
gamut of styles in fusion
• At present working with local experimental progressive rock group utilizing styles from
Reggae, Funk, Jazz, R & B, to Metal
• At present segueing into successful local folk and country group as drummer
• At present working on personal compositions that range from classical-contemporary
to electronic and industrial hip-hop – debuted solo performance material this past
December; published first single this past August via SmoothSpin Records
Other Relevant Traits:
Committed professional spent five years as a seminary student committed to the Gospel of Jesus
Christ as he still is. These years were spent in diligent prayer and reflection, rigorous academics,
pastoral ministry, living in community, teaching children and adult groups, and leading many
liturgical and worship services.
