edge?
Nichols: I am always looking for ways to
improve my game and stay up to speed
with the direction the game is going. I am
disciplined to always work hard and get
everything out of myself that I can.
How does this translate into a business
environment?
Nichols: To have a successful business
you need to be at the cutting edge of
your industry and stay there. This
requires discipline and hard work, which
is exactly what being an Olympic athlete
requires.

Citrix: How do you maintain a competitive
edge? And how does this translate into a
business environment?
Nuveman: Being competitive on the field
or in the business environment is all
about making adjustments.
It is important to have a game plan, but
the ability and willingness to compensate
and adjust is what makes an athlete or
business successful. It feels great to get
in your “comfort zone,” but that feeling
doesn't last long. You have to be able to
push the envelope and make changes to
your game plan at any moment.
