2. Advantage Public Relations… A Scottish based
consultancy offering the highest standard of
professional, affordable public relations support.
Established by Managing Director Clare Graham 12 years ago as an alternative to large
agencies in Edinburgh and Glasgow, my ethos is a hands on approach, I want to manage and
run my clients’ accounts on a daily basis, not manage people or figures.
My time in Agency PR gave me experience of some of the UK’s top brands including Camelot,
Kwik Fit, Barratt Homes and John Menzies. My own company Advantage PR has given me the
opportunity to work with a mix of large and small firms, especially those in the luxury consumer
sector such as luxury food , property, retail, business and travel ie Visitor Attractions; top Hotels
north and south of the Border, Restaurants, Five star luxury Self Catering Estates, Food brands,
and luxury Housebuilders.
I have a solid academic background with a joint honours degree in English and Film/Media
Studies from the University of Stirling and just over 20 years experience in PR and advertising.
3. I have extensive experience in Lifestyle, Property, Food, Business,
Consumer, Trade, Lifestyle and Travel PR in Scotland and UK wide as well
as excellent contacts with key Scottish daily newspapers such as the
Scotsman, Herald, Scottish Daily Express (also quality Sundays) and
English Regional titles.
I also deal regularly with glossy lifestyle magazines both north and south of
the border and consumer travel and lifestyle columns in weekend and
Sunday supplements and magazines plus in flight magazines. And online
coverage too – many new avenues here.
Work for several other clients targets industry, business and trade
publications.

14. Photography:
Some clients already have good photography in existence to promote the
brand which can be used by Advantage PR. PR can be competitive in
certain sectors and it can often be a great photograph which makes the
difference to coverage. Advantage PR will seek to exploit photo
opportunities wherever possible especially events involving charity,
volunteers and the local community.
I have contacts with a number of excellent photographers who will bill direct
with no mark up if you need assistance or you may have someone you use
for this.
15. Advantage PR operates on a monthly fee basis. This covers all composition of
press releases; press packs and advertorial copy; organisation of photocalls and
special events and all liaison with journalists for interviews and profiles. It will
cover everything you need for a professional and thorough service.
Following meetings Advantage PR issues a contact report stating the action
points for both client and myself.
It is a flexible service, this cost does not cover a set amount of meetings or
hours etc, it is dependent on what the account needs at any one time.
Please feel free to contact any of my past or present clients for personal
recommendations (testimonials and media coverage section including TV and
radio on website www.advantagepr.co.uk) and facebook business page,
Advantage PR Scotland.
Campaigns are usually kicked off with preparation of targeted Press Packs and
press releases initially, then rolled out to cover seasonal events, launches,
calendar events the client has earmarked and photo opportunities etc.
