Immortalizing Nature in Family Heirlooms
Reclaimed Wood - AKA Barn Board, comes from timbers and
decking rescued from old barns, factories and warehouses.
Reclaimed wood adds a unique character when added as an
accent to any home or office.
Wood is like a fine wine - it gets better with age. All reclaimed
wood has a history, its own special personality adding warmth
and ambience to any room. Using reclaimed wood gives old
wood new life – helping to preserve forests. Opting for vintage
wood that comes with a story, is a more earth friendly
alternative that many home- and business owners are striving
are choosing.

3. No matter what the wood's original use, reclaimed lumber is
usually of a quality unmatched in stores now. Most reclaimed
wood dates back prior to modern construction and milling
methods, more mature trees that had grown slowly over
hundreds of years were commonly used in construction.
Reclaimed wood from these older trees is stronger than wood
being milled today.
The process of producing reclaimed flooring uses 13 times less
energy than that of producing virgin wood flooring.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that
demolished buildings provide about 1,000,000,000 feet of usable
lumber per year.

4. Our barn board creations
are by special request and
are one of a kind. Like so
many other things in life,
once someone has
something unique, others
want to follow.
This project began as a backing above a fireplace to give character to plain wall. After much
debate, our customer opted for a flower box to compliment the already stunning feature wall.
The entire project became an artistic and woodworking challenge. Positioning knots and old
nail holes strategically for aesthetics became as important as making the proper cuts for
structural integrity. Every possible inch of this valuable resource was used to its full potential.
Now this 100+ year barn board (reclaimed wood), will live on for years.
