Inspirational Leader Vs  Good Leader!
A leader has ‘vision’, as well as an understanding of strategy, the use of power and drive, while an inspirational leader goes beyond all this and achieves more. www.commlabindia.com
As the old saying goes, the definition of a leader is someone who has followers. Therefore, the definition of an inspirational leader is someone who has inspired followers.
Inspirational Leaders and Good leaders come at a PRICE.  "Good leaders" come at a PRICE (Dollars: salary, bonus, benefits, perks) and this price is diligently compared to the individuals ROI.  "Inspirational Leaders" come at a PRICE (Values: principals, character, loyalty, integrity) and these individuals are priceless.
What makes an inspirational leader?  His/her ability to take people with them. This quality is rather hard to define because one either has it or one doesn't. But a truly inspirational leader has the passion, the commitment, the sensitivity and the vision to see what is possible, on one hand, and also to persuade people to follow that dream on the other.  Altogether, a good leader will motivate and encourage others to great works but a truly inspirational leader will help others to discover themselves and find their own greatness.

Management and Leadership are two independent and mutually exclusive sets of skills. A person can possess one of the skills or both of the set of skills. E.g. Managers are appointed and deal with inventory while Leadership is bestowed up on a person and the deal with people.
Some key differences between a Good Leader and an Inspirational Leader.
For the Good Leader the follower is following a person--a sort of personality cult, whereas for an Inspirational Leader the follower is following a dream.

An inspirational leader is the one who can get much from an average employee and a good leader is the one who can get much from the good employee.
A good leader makes their co-workers like to work in the organization; an inspirational leader makes them love it!
Great leaders will get results but inspirational leaders will inspire others to excel over and above normal results.
Good leaders get the job done, regardless of the attitudes of the followers. Inspirational leaders actually get followers internally motivated -- motivated to either follow, or to be leaders themselves. www.commlabindia.com
A leader needs to have vision but it has to be the right vision for the company in its situation. "Visionary but wrong" does not work.
Few qualities that lead a Good Leader to become an Inspirational Leader
1. Know the people you are leading (strong points and weak points) and create your strategy with them in mind.
2. Communicate as often as possible with people on your staff (one on one communication). Make sure the people that work for you understand that you value their input and contribution and that you are there to support their growth and development. www.commlabindia.com
 3.  Leader who has the passion for their vision, zeal and enthusiasm to succeed and do something different and at the same time is compassionate.  They genuinely care about other people’s  well being and work.
 4.  Leaders are those who have the ability to think, foresee future opportunities and more.      They rely on their intuition for timing and course of action for present and future opportunities. They keep themselves updated with minutest of information and use it when it is needed the most.
5. Do not be afraid to set hard goals. People need to know that you have confidence in their abilities and that you are not afraid to put yourself on the line with them in attaining difficult goals.
6. Be an example in all aspects of the job. You do not have to be an expert in all technical areas, but you should be an example in work ethic and general ethics and integrity. Subordinates need to know that they work for someone that is solid, honest and dedicated to their well being and the health and future of the organization. www.commlabindia.com
