  3. New York Minute is the first book in a new series by NYT bestselling author Bob Mayer featuring former Green Beret Will Kane and set in New York City in the late 1970s. It’s based on Bob’s background growing up in the Bronx, his time at West Point and in the Special Forces. Like Bob, Will Kane has Aspergers, which makes his social interactions awkward and, sometimes, humorous. But there is one thing Will Kane is very, very, good at: Taking action.
  4. NEW YORK MINUTE The last time former Green Beret Will Kane was involved in killing someone it made the cover of LIFE Magazine. Eight years later he’s getting pushed to the edge of a precipice he vowed never to go over again. He has undiagnosed Aspergers, like many creative people in the arts. Except his art is death. And he’s very, very good at it.

  12. He returns to his hometown, New York City, just in time to experience the worst imaginable personal tragedy in November 1969. Kane disappears overseas with his grief, only coming back to NY in 1975, bringing with him Montagnard refugees he’s rescued as well as a pair of Nung mercenaries.

But it soon escalates, involving the Mafia; then a billion dollars worth of construction contracts are on the line; then the CIA shows up with ghosts from his covert past.
