• Purpose:
▫ to improve the operation of business and
commercial departments of governmental
agencies through mutual cooperation, exchange of
ideas, education and the promotion of legislation
for the improvement of business and commercial
laws and their administration.

• Each year a few months in advance of the annual
conference, there is a call for submissions for the
IACA Merit Awards
• Applications may be submitted by IACA member
jurisdictions for innovative projects or
accomplishments in their jurisdictions
• All submissions are judged by an independent
panel

• Among last year’s six successful applications
were IACA members Germany and Jersey
• Axel Forstmann and Julian Lamb accepted the
IACA Merit Award for Outstanding Innovation
in Registry Interoperability for their work on
the Registry Messaging System in conjunction
with Ireland, Macedonia and Serbia
