CATV (HFC) / DOCSIS
Romsat has a lot of experience in development of digital hybrid fiber-coaxial
(HFC) TV networks and DOCSIS internet access that’s because this is our time-
proven and mature solution.
Modular equipment from well known vendors and IP-based Head-End
architecture allows to propose for our Customers more flexible and redundant
grow-up-as-you-need solutions. Another great feature is that for our deployments
we are using DVB-S2 and MPEG-4/HD compatible receiving and multiplexing
equipment, so for our Customers it is not really necessary to buy new Head-End
equipment in case if content providers will suddenly upgrade their broadcasting
standards. The statistical multiplexing with transrating technology helps to
achieve maximum of bandwidth utilization, while the muscles of the system – IP-
DVB gateways providing clear and powerful transmission.
Our national wide shared conditional access system allows for small or middle size
cable operators to start their secure broadcasting with the less of investment.
Centralized control and monitoring network management system provides great
help for Customer’s technician representatives and fail-free automatic
