1. Looking back at your preliminary
task, what do you feel you have
learnt in the progression from it to
the full product?

2. Since starting this task at the beginning of the
year I have learnt the conventions a key aspects
of a magazine. I was determined to try my best
when creating a realistic magazine in the
preliminary task as I wanted to see how well I
could do before moving onto the main task, I put
a lot of time in researching and creating the
pages for the preliminary task but i believe it has
helped develop my skills and understanding on
the practical side of the competeive magazine
industry.

3. Looking back at my school magazine cover I have
realised how much I have learnt and how my skills
using the different software's have developed. My
school magazine was pretty plain and boring. I believe
that my music magazine looks far more professional
than my preliminary task. This is due to research and
an increase in knowledge of the magazine industry. I
also used a questionnaire for my target audience so i
could design and develop my pages with their opinions
in mind. I feel like I could improve some aspects of my
pages but I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

4. By doing the preliminary task I was able to get
a feel and explore the different software's.
Doing these tasks also allowed me to learn
about the codes and conventions of a
magazine. The preliminary task was able to
help me improve on my skills and ability ready
for the main task. My experience with the
software prior to the main task allowed me to
create and complete pieces of work that im
happy with.
