Télécharger pour lire hors ligne

When starting or evaluating the present state of your Data Governance program, it is important to focus on best practices such that you don’t take a ready, fire, aim approach. Best practices need to be practical and doable to be selected for your organization, and the program must be at risk if the best practice is not achieved.

Join Bob Seiner for an important webinar focused on industry best practice around standing up formal Data Governance. Learn how to assess your organization against the practices and deliver an effective roadmap based on the results of conducting the assessment.

In this webinar, Bob will focus on:

- Criteria to select the appropriate best practices for your organization
- How to define the best practices for ultimate impact
- Assessing against selected best practices
- Focusing the recommendations on program success
- Delivering a roadmap for your Data Governance program

Four reasons why CDOs Fail? • Ability to understand the business and alignment with business objectives and goals. • For example: Depending on the industry type it could mean driving customer experience, attaining operational efficiency, digital transformation, innovation, regulatory compliance and much more. Fail to have business literacy and put business needs first 01 • One of the hardest things CDOs face is their ability to link complex data challenges to business outcomes or goals. • For example: Showing that there is a data quality problem is not enough to get stakeholder buy-in. Linking outcomes like user productivity, customer experience will have more mileage. Fail to connect data challenges to business outcomes 02 • While CDOs have skills to solve given data challenges, often they are faced with human change management challenges. • For example: A CDOs ability to create data literacy depends on knowing the organizations culture. • Ability to communicate effectively (storytelling, listening, conflict resolution, marketing and much more). Fail to address the human aspect and drive cultural change management 03 • Often times thinking technology alone will solve all data challenges does not yield desired results. • For example, build and they will come mentality has become a thing of the past. • CDOs ability to succeed demands on driving business adoption, creating fit for purpose user data experiences and much more. Fail to understand technology is a means to an end and not the end in itself 04
