As the cushioning market is maturing, more attention is given to costs-in-the-box. Ranpak
now offers a complete range of cushioning solutions with corresponding price points to
serve every customer segment. The new Plus Technology creates a more voluminous pad
which enables perfect cushioning while less paper (quality) is needed. So this results in
optimal cushioning performance, but at a competitive price.
What is the Plus Technology
Cushioning needs exist in many different forms:
from light to medium to heavy cushioning. Different
needs also ask for different price points. With the new
Plus Technology we make sure the stitching in the pad
is not as wide which leads to more air in the rest of the
pad. This results in a wider, more voluminous pad with
less paper (quality) needed to create it.

2. ADDED Plus SYSTEMS
Heavy cushioning
Blocking and Bracing heavy (more than 15 kg) or extremely
fragile products in the box.
Light cushioning
Medium cushioning
Filling empty spaces in the box to prevent
shifting of light products (less than 8 kg).
Adding protective power within the box while shipping
products between 8 and 15 kg.
Light/ Medium Cushioning
With the PadPak LC PLUS optimal efficiency can
be achieved due to the ability to use paper packs.
Furthermore, it offers an environmentally friendly
and cost effective solution as 2 types of Ecoline paper
can be applied (70 and 90 gsm).
Light/ Medium Cushioning
The PadPak LC PLUS M enables costs savings due to the
smaller width of the paper packs (70 and 90 gsm virgin
57 cm wide). Furthermore, a greener option is available
with Ecoline (90 gsm recycled 57 cm wide).
Heavy Cushioning
The PadPak SR PLUS offers a better pad with all the existing
paper configurations but also offers optimal efficiency due
to the possibility to use paper packs. Because 110 gsm virgin
single ply paper packs can be used, significant cost savings
can be achieved.

Our paper converters can be applied in combination with many different kinds of paper configurations. We have segmented
these configurations to distinguish between heavy, medium and light cushioning (see front). For more information with regards
