4. Energy Procurement & Risk Management
Our dedication and market intelligence means offering
you informed knowledge and unbiased advice.
We will work closely alongside our clients to evaluate their Needs and Requirements, helping
lower overall tariff rates, give advice on more Structured Longer Term Contractsand move
their energy to Renewable Sources.
Our ability to use strong high level Supplier Relationships and Buying Power
means we can directly access products unavailable to the market place. All clients, from SMEto Large
Corporatelevel, benefit from bespoke energy management and an End to End Service.
This in turn gives the ability to tailor large multiple meters, single end date contract terms and focused overall
Energy Management Solutions.
Having the ability to contract your supply to a number of different suppliers means that each
supplier has different sources of renewable energy generation. Wind, Hydroand Biomass
being the most common, however some have more CSR Benefits (Corporate Social Responsibility)
than others.
Furthermore, Carbon Management Strategies can be implemented. These strategies offset the
carbon use of your energy in a cost effective way and show certification of these processes as being Carbon
Neutral.

5. Fully Managed Tenders Timing Dedicated Support
Energy is currently more volatile than any other commodity market, exposing energy
users to risk whether they operate fixed or flexible supply contracts. Quite simply, our
focus is to secure the energy for your business at an optimal rate and with minimal risk.

6. ManagedServices
Our aim is to aid our client over the long term. While a reduction in pence per kWh is an important first
step, we consider a decrement in overall usage to be equally vital. Through our additional services we
can give clients the tools, advice, and skills so that they can use energy in a more sustainable manner.
Beyond the procurement of gas and electricity, we offer a number of Additional Services.
We can supervise the implementation of AMR Meters (Automatic Meter Reading).
AMR meters collect Half Hourly Data, which is then transferred directly to a central
database for billing, analysis and diagnostics. This provides suppliers with Accurate
Data on Consumption, which in turn ensures that only Actual Usage Is Billed.
We provide continued Management Support which ensures that any issues are
immediately brought to the supplier's attention. These services include Bill Validation,
Historic Invoice Auditing, Data Collation, and kVA Analysis.

7. Energy Management & Consumption Reduction
Benefits
Set out a structure for continuous improvement with a robust
management strategy that is tailored to your business.
The management of energy is often neglected, even though there is considerable potential to
save energy and reduce costs. Rising energy prices, climate change legislation and the need
to be environmentally responsibleall require effective energy management.
Energy management is the systematic
use of management and technology to
improve the energy performance of an
organisation.To be fully effective, energy
management needs to be integrated,
incorporating green and brown energy
procurement whilst proactively improving
energy efficiency.
Saving energy makes business sense,
and having a structured, co-ordinated
and integrated approach maximises
these benefits. Without good energy
management, cost-effective
opportunities can be easily overlooked.
Energy management must be tailored to the
nature and size of the organisation.
The effort exerted on energy management
should be proportionate to the need and
the benefits gained.
Any organisation needs good
management for long-term success
and efficient operation, and energy
management is no different. However,
the management of energy is often
neglected, even though there is
considerable potential to save energy
and reduce costs.

8. EnergyManagementSystems
Poor energy management can commonly be the largest contributor to
an organisation's energy spend.
Energy Management Systems (EnMS) are designed to provide a greater understanding of your company’s energy use, areas
of energy wastage and continually monitor and improve your energy management processes. A standard EnMS consists of an
integrated computer system designed for the automated control and monitoring of significant energy consumption through
metering and sub metering of electricity, gas and water meters as well as building systems such as heating, air conditioning
and lighting installations.
Identify and manage the risks surrounding
your current and future energy supplies.
Determine an energy baseline of your organisation,
and benchmark against similar sites.
Provide data to establish, implement and maintain
energy policies, objectives and targets.
Reduce carbon emissions and improve
the organisation's green credentials.
Meet government reduction targets and comply
with energy and environmental legislation.

9. Sustainability Management
With expert analysis and insight, we can help you to make informed and decisive choices.
What we can Support You with
Working across a range of markets, including Business and Commercial Organisations, Development and Planning
Companies, Housing Providers as well as with Producers and Manufacturers, gives us unrivalled skills.
Our methodology follows a life cycle analysis approach, as the impact of our operations in any field must be
considered over a period of time and not at any single point. Understanding this will make a significant difference
to people’s attitude towards sustainability and its implementation.

We can offer our support in meeting your environmental objectives.
With public awareness of green issues growing day by day, the commercial sector is always the first to show how small changes to
its infrastructure can make a big difference. Not only will your business make financial savings, but it can actively promote its green
credentials. This can in turn raise the company profile and even in some cases generate more business and forge new business to
business relationships and partnerships.

Energy consumption produces carbon dioxide emissions
e.g. power, lighting, heating, cooling offices, transport etc.
Carbon offsetting strategies can be used to compensate
for CO2 emissions by funding an equivalent CO2 saving
elsewhere. Our partnership with Carbon Footprint Ltd, one
of the UK’s most recognised offsetting companies, allows
us to offer unparalleled services in this area.

12. ESOS (The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme)
What is ESOS?
ESOS is likely to affect up to 10,000 businesses in the UK
The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory energy assessment and energy saving identification
scheme for large undertakings (and their corporate groups). The scheme applies throughout the UK, and Green Energy
Consulting are taking a proactive stance to assist and offer a full range of compliance services.
All large companies (>250 employees or turnover >€50 million and a balance sheet >€43 million) will have to
complete an assessment of their energy consumption every four years. Green Energy Consulting can offer
energy audits with our approved Lead ESOS Assessors, producing a list of “cost-effective efficiency measures”,
and this can then be signed off by the Board. The first audit must be completed & reported to the regulator
(Environment Agency) by December 2015.

14. Integrated Management Systems (IMS)
Due to the close relationships in the methodology for implementing the different Management System Standards (MSS), manycompanies
choose to integrate several of the systems together and conduct audits of the entire management system to ensure its effectiveness.
These can include not only ISO 9001, 14001 and 50001, but also OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) and any other standard as set out in PAS
99-2012. Green Energy Consulting can design and manage an entire IMS system for your company from scratch using our skilled and
experienced consultants, or add to and improve your existing management system.
This will offer benefits in the shape of:
Improved business focus.
A more holistic approach
to managing business risks.
Less conflict between
individual management
systems.
Reduced
duplication and
bureaucracy.
More effective and efficient

16. Water Auditing
Often taken for granted by business users, the effective management
of this vital commodity is a key area for saving.
Incorrect supply systems, leaks and complicated
inaccurate drainage charges can severely impact on
your bottom line.
Water Audit - How do we do it?
Key information is entered in by our analysts forming
a historical water and waste water bill database.
Further historical information, if required, can be
obtained from the relevant water and waste water
supplier forming a completed picture of charges,
water volumes, standing charges and other essential
information.
Water and Waste Water Audit
Our experienced water audit, consultants will carry
out a comprehensive water audit of all component
charges of the bills that make up the total charges,
taking into account staff populations and water
facilities on site, to include audit checks on:
• Surface water charges
• Highways drainage charges
• Site area charges
• Property drainage charges
• Band charges
Typical project work to save water where
there may be high consumption:
• Underground water leaks
