WORK EXPERIENCE:
MATERIAL AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGER
9/2013-Present
• Served as a Knowledge Manager and Material Manager while part of the G-3 Current
Operations of the 3rd ESC. Supported the mission of the company while it was located at
Fort Knox, Kentucky as well as during and after its move and relocation to Fort Bragg,
North Carolina.
• Helped design, organize and monitor the company’s web portal. Assisted and advised
other Knowledge Managers of different sections in their individual web pages. Lead
large-scale, mission-critical Information Technology projects that utilized SharePoint
2010 as a platform to introduce system efficiencies.
• Integral in the Support Operations Center of the unit. Showed public speaking skills,
interpersonal communication and understanding of computer systems and electronics as
part of preparing the SOC for meetings, briefings and announcements of a General and
other important figures.
• Used battle tracking for daily operations, staff synchronization, tracking CCIRs and
providing recommendations to the Support Operations Center Officer in Charge and Non
Commissioned Officer in Charge.
• Responsible for weekly maintenance of five military vehicles (4 HMMVs and a TMP)
valued at $300,000. Served as a Fire Marshall of the company’s main building,
informing all members on fire safety, fire extinguisher responsibility and occasional
drills.
• While deployed to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait from April to December of 2014, took on the
full time duty of Facilities Maintenance Manager. Within this field, played a pivotal role
in the care and maintenance of over $3 million worth of facilities while managing
services for two MACOM’s with over 6,000 Soldiers and civilians. Daily tasks included
2. receiving, tracking, organizing and calling in work orders; escorting foreign workers and
contractors through a secure premises to work on anything from large outside air
conditioners to resupply of lightbulbs and electronics and porta john maintenance;
weekly water orders and distribution; follow up on work orders, assisting with simple
maintenance and supply issues. Dedication resulted in the operational readiness of the
facilities being above 90%.
EQUIPMENT RECORDS AND PARTS MANAGER
6/2012-6/2013
• Spent a year living and working at Camp Humphreys, South Korea, with the 520th
Maintenance Company. Responsible for the development, training and welfare of a
rotational roster of four Soldiers and two Korean Soldiers assigned to the United States
Army. Provided direct support for 94 Divisional and Non Divisional units located on the
South Korea peninsula. Opened, tracked and organized over 1800 maintenance type work
orders for equipment valued in excess of $85,000. Skilled efficiency allowed the section
to attain a 100% reconciliation rate for 11 consecutive months.
• Trained Soldiers in physical fitness, weapons maintenance and qualification at ranges and
in remote details as a Sergeant of the Guard supporting the 2013 CJLOTS exercise in
Pohang, South Korea
AUTOMATED LOGISTICAL SUPERVISOR AND MATERIAL MANAGER
8/2009-6/2012
• Supervised the Logistical maintenance for three MP company Motor Pools and groups of
four Soldiers each belonging to the 89th Military Police Brigade while stationed at Fort
Hood, Texas. Managed the Prescribed Load List (PLL) and the Army Maintenance
Management System (TAMMS) while utilizing multiple Standard Army Maintenance
System Enhanced (SAMS-E) databases.
• Controlled and filed over 1700 pieces of equipment valued at over $3 million.
Responsible for the dispatch procedure, service schedules, non-mission capable reports,
document control registries, exchange pricing, recoverable items. supply transaction
budget, receiving, inputting, maintaining, ordering and turn in of Class 9 repair parts
which allowed the units to maintain a 98% readiness rate and save over $15,000.
• While deployed for a year in Afghanistan, as part of a Combat Repair Team with a Joint
Task Force for Operation Enduring Freedom, single handedly managed automated
logistics for over 800 lines of equipment, managed shop stock, tracked and reported
maintenance, man-hour accounting and total cost of ownership and supported Army,
Navy, Air Force and civilians working supply points holding items valued in excess of
$125,000,000. Reorganized an enormous Prescribed Load List from scratch, turning in
over 1,000 lines of stock, saving the military over $75,000,000.
• Managed six DODAACs on two SAMS boxes, daily, in support of six military units and
four civilian maintenance contracts.
• Additional duties and responsiblities for this unit included: Environmental Compliance
Manager, Key Custodian, Fire Marshall and Better Opportunites for Single Soldiers
(BOSS) Representative.
