Our problem:
The vast disparity between work and
community space. There is a huge demand
for a rest and recreation area on campus,
and currently there aren’t any plans for a
simple, cheap, immediate solution.

Let’s make this clear.
No one is to blame. The campus was
designed for an older student body who
came to work quickly and return home.
They had not been admitted straight out
of high school, nor were they expecting
the full, social “college experience.”

The Art Center student body has evolved
since the Hillside campus was built in the
1970s, and there are new, important social
issues that we need to address.
