I think the school used the armory for their basketball games before they built their gymnasium.
Photo on the left was donated to the Kingsley Lake Baptist Church by Mrs. Beverly Blackshear.

Allen, Donnie, and Gordon (Dinky) have a younger brother Eric (Bubba), class of ‘86.

Dan Griffis lived in Camp Blanding.
Hal W. Edwards, III also lived at the lake and was in the class of ‘73. Don’t know if Kathy (and sister Cindy) ever lived at the lake or what class Cindy was in, but they are Elder cousins.
There are also some younger Elders too, like Carl.
There are also some younger Fuquays that grew up at the lake, Duke’s sons, Maxie and Ethan.
Have yet to find a school photo of Eddie Fuquay or Linda Gay.
Not sure how many years the Glass girls attended school here, as these are from Jacksonville yearbooks.
Still hoping to get later photos of the Griggs.
Billy went to Bradford and Charles went to Clay High. Dwight also has a sister, Susie, and might be kin to Bill Helsabeck. Beverly Hollingsworth was Wilbur Heath’s step-daughter.

Also, Sarah’s daughter, Kaitlyn, and Maxie’s daughters, Heather and Noel.

The Saunders bought the Dye’s place when Paul and Cathy were in High School, and George may have already graduated. They attended Clay High and we can’t find George Saunders’ photo anywhere.

Jane Smith’s father was Robert Smith, Retired Army and manager of Strickland’s Store at one time. Her Mother may have driven the school bus for a while too.

B & A buildings were later lined up behind this section, making the compound we knew.
The Gymnasium was built in 1954 and from the looks of the Field house, it was probably built around the time as the Ag building (built with student labor) and Cafeteria which were built in 1949.
