Prasthanatrayi acknowledge as its three authoritative primary sources. The texts comprising the Prasthanatrayi are the Upanishads, the Bhagavadgita and the Brahma Sutra.
6. Upanishads
According to Muktopnishad- there are total 108
Upanishads.
Some scholars list ten as principal Upanishads, i.e., also
known as Mukhya Upanishads
Īśā, Kena, Kaṭha, Praṣna, Muṇḍaka, Māṇḍūkya, Taittirīya,
Aitareya, Chāndogya and Bṛhadāraṇyaka
Aadi Sankaracharya ji wrote Bhasya on Shweta Shwetar
Upanishad also and i.e. why Some scholar also count this
as Mukhya Upanishad.
Therefore some scholar believe 11 number as Mukhya
Upanishad.

The Sanskrit term Upaniṣad comes from
Upa- "by" and
Ni-ṣad "sit down“
to "sitting down near",
Refers to the student sitting down near the
teacher while receiving true
