PLEASE READ THIS INFORMATION CAREFULLY
· The full cost of your registration and course fees will be paid by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission
(CSC) directly to the University of Southampton.
· No monies will be paid from the Scholarship directly to you. Any additional costs relating to your course that
you incur will be your own responsibility, unless specific provision has been made by the Commission.
· You may hold your Commonwealth Scholarship for up to five years; no additional funding will be provided after
31 March 2018.
If you fail a module, you will be responsible for all costs involved in re-sitting that module. This Commission
will under no circumstances pay for fees for retaking any failed examinations.
The Commission requires you to take an IELTS English Language examination prior to commencing your
studies. Please show the Commission a certificate that shows you having gained a total overall score of at least
6.5. The Commission will only accept a certificate from a test taken up to one year prior to the start date of
your course
In order to continue to receive ongoing Scholarship support, you will be required to:
· Provide evidence annually that you continue to live and work in a developing Commonwealth country.
· Complete a minimum of three modules by assessment per year.
· In all other respects, the general regulations that apply to students registered with the University of Southampton
will be applied.
· You agree to respond to information requests aimed at assisting the evaluation and monitoring of the
Commonwealth Scholarship Programme, both whilst on award and following its completion.
· You should be aware that data held by the University of Southampton will be shared for reporting and support
purposes with the Commission and with the overseas partner institution (where applicable). You agree to the
Commission using your name, subject, institution and level of study, year of award, country of origin and degree
results as one of its award holders in any Commission publication, briefing or website.
The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission will be responsible for your fees. In the first instance the Commission
will pay for your registration and for the modules listed above (if known).
