Goodall® have developed an innovative
permanent connection, which has
a crimped system which eliminates
potentially hazardous leaks from loose
bolts.
Within the coupling system, the sleeve is
designed to grip on the steel braids and tail
piece hydraulically. This ensures a secure
connection, even under heavy use and
reduces the possibility of burst.
Even hoses using special EPDM
compounds will have a porous structure
which cause tiny water and steam particles
to accumulate in the wall resulting in
the "popcorning" effect. To overcome
this Goodall developed a special, non-
porous rubber compound for the inner
tube for their 2 new steam hoses. These
hoses can withstand temperatures of
232O
C/450O
F, can increase the life span
by 3 times and exceed the standards set
out by ISO 6134-2A.
