1.6.1 Data Center
This is among the service in which IPCOM is known for. Because, it’s data center that keeps up
with todays pace of business making. And the expertise in in data centers facilities, including
power and cooling optimization, Rack and Cabinets, PDUs, DCIMs, Aisle containments,
structured cabling, Safety and Security Systems, allows the clients to maximize the impact of their
server, storage and virtualization projects.
By Using Modular Data Center, protect on-premise business applications, roll out and implement
software defined data centers, simplify and speed up planning, designing and building their data
center, optimize costs and performance, secure critical applications and their most valuable data,
monitor, automate and control their entire data center physical infrastructure with integrated
DCIM.
1.6.2 Core Networking
IPCOM sees core Network Infrastructure as the platform for all business functions and
communications. They provide a powerful point of differentiation through availability, flexibility,
scalability, performance, and security. We can help you Design, Integrate, Manage and Secure
resilient enterprise LAN and WLAN Infrastructure.
1.6.3 Virtualization
Today Virtualization has become strategy of IT leaders. Virtualization improves business
continuity and resilience and can assist you in disaster recovery preparations.
IPCOM technologies can help companies and organizations harness the power of virtualization to
reduce operational costs and improve automation. Virtualization is also moving beyond the server
and storage domains. Desktop virtualization is on the fast track to mainstream adoption. Desktop
virtualization help them manage device proliferation and operate more effectively and securely in
today's mobile, user-centric workspace.
1.6.4 Unified Communication
Their business understands the value of providing employees with a richer, more consolidated
communication and collaboration experience. That's why a move towards IP telephony (IPT)
forms the foundation of unified communications and collaboration strategy. Migrating from a
distributed, legacy telephony infrastructure to a more integrated, user-centric model abounds with
pitfalls. Perhaps the client already invested in IPT but aren't realizing any cost and efficiency
benefits. Optimal design, effective deployment, security, user adoption and management are all
crucial.
1.6.5 Safety and Security
Surveillance is not just about protecting assets from threats. Keeping staff and customers safe is
important too and security solutions need to provide the detail required seeing things clearly.
Surveillance system can be used to remotely monitor property and deter vandalism.
A sophisticated, built-in motion detection system can generate an alarm, which automatically
transmits images to security operators giving them accurate, up-to-the minute information upon
which to base their decisions. Security project involves a number of stages including system
design, product installation, maintenance and support. IPCOM offers a comprehensive set of tools
and features that help their Customers get the right solution for the purpose. They have highly
skilled Engineers and Certified technicians that can take the clients and their business from
beginning to end to address the infrastructure needs they are embarking upon today.
1.6.6 Performance Optimization
Improving the end-to-end performance, availability and security of applications and services
across communication networks. If the data center has evolved over time, it’s possible that it’s not
making the most efficient use of computing, storage and energy resources. Their data center
optimization teams can assist its clients with data center planning, rationalization, migration, and
management across on-premise, hosted, and cloud environments. They ensure that the business
continuity isn’t interrupted and that most precious asset – data – isn’t lost or rendered inaccessible,
through robust backup and recovery systems and techniques.
1.6.7 IT Support Services
Clients can't afford to run the risk of system failure that impacts on productivity of their business.
Their proactive approach reduces risk by identifying problems before they arise. Clients want
annual maintenance support contract for their existing Data Center Power, Cooling, Fire Alarm,
Network Infrastructure, Compute and Storage Server Infrastructure. IPCOM have qualified people

WLAN.
1.8 Organizational Structure
The organizational structure of IPCOM can be clearly as shown in the following diagram. The
general manager is the owner of the company, Ato Fikreyohannes. He controls the overall actions
of the company. The structure which this company uses has made it to effectively do its job. The
secret of the motivation of the employees in the company is that they are all like family and
accomplish all works as if its theirs.
There is clear relationship between the project manager and the site engineers, who are the back
bone of the company, making them to read each other and easily give solution to any problem
which may arose during operation.
Finally, the greatest thing I observed in the company is the team work among the employees and
cooperation for their clients to give the best solution. The following fig. 2 shows the organizational
structure the IPCOM Technologies Trading is using.
