“Trading Places” was my favorite movie growing up, I watched it every time it came on TBS. I loved how Louis Winthorpe III, a Harvard educated businessman, and Billy Ray Valentine, a street hustler, had to swap lives because of a one-dollar bet. With some rudimentary commodities training and careful listening skills, Billy Ray was able to excel as a broker. Once Louis and Billy Ray learned of this bet, they collaborated to get back at the Duke brothers with their own bet; while making big bucks for themselves.
