REQUIREMENTS FOR BUILDING PLAN APPROVAL AT THE
MINISTRY OF LANDS, HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
Below are the requirements for project application and approval at the Ministry of
Lands, Housing and Urban Development. However, the fees payable varies,
depending on the size, use and volume of development involved.
Assessment fees are worked on porata that is, volume multiply by fees order.

REQUIREMENTS FOR LAYING OF OPTIC FIBRE.
1. Submission of application by the prospective service provider showing.
i. The name of the routes covered by the cables.
ii. Map of the road network of the routes from origin to the last point.
iii. Schedule/tabulation sheet of name, distances, total and categories of the
affected routes.
2. Joint site visitation to the affected routes.
3. Issuance of demand notice generated from the application submitted.
4. Evidence of payment of the prescribed fee as entrenched in the demand
notice.
5. Continuous oversight function of the ministry.
6. Issuance of certificate of completion when the job is satisfactorily
implemented.
Note:Penalty for contravension is double of the assessment fee above and other
condition determined by the ministry.
