2. Initial Reaction
When I heard about the brief I instantly knew what piece of media I wanted to create as it’s the career I want to peruse
in the future.
I knew I wanted to make something that related to the film industry as that is what I am passionate about the most,
initial I wanted to create a short film but then my tutor suggested doing a trailer instead and creating a short film of the
trailer for my final project which I thought would be interesting for me to make and it would also be a challenge for me
as I've never made one before, it also gives me an opportunity to research something I’ve never researched before.
Previous projects that I have worked on such as the audio project and the music video project have helped me learn
new skill and build on previous skill I already had. What I have learned from these projects is that I’m strong at both my
camera angels and my sound effects, both these strengths will come in good use when it comes to the production side
of my work.
I have also learned from my past work that lighting is an issue for me, it’s either my footage turns out to be too dark or
too light and as a result of this the final video ends up containing lots of noise ruining my aesthetic and the video as a
whole. When I am creating my trailer I need to double check my footage and make sure the lighting is to a high quality
and that there are no faults as I want my project to look as good as possible.
I think this project will be a challenge for me as it’s something new and something I have no idea of how to start
however I believe I will be able to create something I am proud of and I will hopefully be able to create something that
is to a good quality.

Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
In the images I have collected there is a recurring colour scheme of dull and dark
shades consisting of shades of brown, green, blues and reds , the mood through out
the images are unsettling and slightly disturbing from the way the victims are killed to
the unsettling feeling that runs through out the house.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
My mood board will help influence my work as I can look at the images I have
collected and recreate them in a video format, the images will help me recreate the
dull lighting I need and find or buy the props needed that are shown in the photos.
The images will also help me create my characters by dressing them in the correct
clothing and possibly doing special effect make up to make their appearances change.
