This document provides an overview of the Nectt app, which aims to help users network more effectively at events by providing information on other attendees. It discusses problems with current networking approaches, the hypothesis and goals of Nectt, initial user research findings, personas, an MVP plan and metrics, wireframes, a product roadmap, and user stories. The roadmap outlines upcoming features over the next year, including notifications on arrival, viewing attendees by company/role, accessing LinkedIn profiles, connecting with users, and saving profiles. Acceptance criteria and a deployment plan are also included.
5. PROBLEM
◦ Little or no information about each other
◦ People end up networking with those around them
◦ Introverted people have a hard time connecting
◦ Sense of pressure to exchange business cards or
Linkedin profiles at the end of their interaction
◦ Irrelevant conversations and unwanted Linkedin
connections
6. HYPOTHESIS
If people had access to actionable information (LinkedIn)
about other attendees at an event they could:
- Better target who they network with
- Interact without the pressure to connect
- Leave with relevant information to later get in touch
7. SWOT
◦ Two developers with PM
experience
◦ No additional $$$ for dev
work
◦ Two brothers = better team
= more efficiency
◦ UX and UI experience
◦ Requires Internet
◦ Requires Linkedin account
◦ No iOS app provides LinkedIn
on event attendees
◦ San Francisco is the perfect
testing ground
◦ Need to download app
◦ Partners enable LinkedIn
integration
◦ LinkedIn with similar feature
