1. To whom it may concern:
It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for an outstanding co-worker and
mentee, Ms. Emily Griswold. I first met Emily when she was hired as a kennel assistant
at West Cary Animal Hospital. It became immediately obvious that she was dedicated
to the veterinary profession, hardworking, and had a strong understanding of patient
care. She was subsequently moved to a veterinary assistant role within a few weeks.
Emily is one of the hardest working technicians in our hospital. She has not only shown
her ability to provide extraordinary care for patients, but also for her fellow staff
members and clients who she interacts with on a daily basis. She is excellent as a
receptionist or a technician, and her ability to handle both rolls seamlessly is
remarkable.
Emily has the intelligence and glowing personality to succeed in this difficult field. She
also has the needed humility and work ethic to be successful. On the weekends she is
often responsible for all hospitalized and boarding animals. She will clean, give baths,
mop, and do other tasks that are not medical in nature, and she does so with a positive
attitude and takes pride in doing a good job. She has a keen sense of when an animal
needs further attention, and will take it upon herself to collect samples and be proactive,
increasing the efficiency of the practice.
In summary, Emily Griswold would be a great employee at any position. Her
enthusiasm for learning and passion for client and patient care are obvious to all who
are around her. I hope this letter helps in your decision making process and I’d be more
than willing to discuss her capabilities via phone or in person.
Sincerely,
