The purpose of this presentation is to:
Define Free Cooling,
Discuss the different types of free cooling systems that have, and are being used, along with the advantages and disadvantages of each,
Walk thru the design of a typical free cooling system while developing an understanding of the factors affecting performance and cost, and
Go thru “tips” for successful operation.
A very important part of the system is the fan. You now have a fan in an exhaust system with a lot of lint. The IMC does not allow for the motor I the airstream.
We have an addendum to out ETL listing the reads: ETL Listed to UL705 :"The product (BESB/MDVS) covered by this report is a modulating air exhaust system. The product consists of a box ventilator and a modulating control for permanent installation. Its intended use is exhausting of lint-laden air from single or multiple type I and type II residential and commercial clothes dryers.
See how the motor is outside the airstream, look at the cast aluminum Class ‘B” spark resistant impeller, and finally by undoing two bolts you have easy access for cleaning.
Guess what happens when the service people forget to clean the fan, we can hold the correct pressure in the duct and we send an alarm signal.
The Mechanical dryer exhaust system is based on the same principle as all the other systems. Here we measure the pressure in the common duct and modulate the fan based on the amount of lint laden air the dryer are producing.
