2014年3月8日(土) 能登空港ターミナルビル金沢大学が7年間、能登半島で培ってきた里山の人材養成
(「能登里山里海マイスター」育成プログラム)のノウハウをフィ
リピン・ルソン島のイフガオ棚田(FAO世界農業遺産、ユネスコ世界文化遺産)の人材養成
に活かすプロジェクトが、国際協力機構(JICA)草の根技術協力事業(地域経済活性化特
別枠)として採択されました。このプロジェクトを促進するため、同じ世界農業遺産の能登と
佐渡を中心とした「イフガオGIAHS支援協議会」の設立総会が3月8日(土)午後1時より能
登空港ターミナルビルにおいて開催されました。この事業は、石川県が申請者、金沢大学
が実施主体となり準備を進めて参りました。今後、「イフガオ里山マイスター養成プログラム」
として、現地の若者たちがフィリピン大学やイフガオ州立大学のプログラムに学ぶほか、能
登・佐渡での研修(8、9月予定)を通じて、GIAHSサイト間の交流を深めます。

23. Kanazawa University is a research university which places high emphasis on education
and regional collaboration. It seeks to promote Noto Peninsula to a focus of integrated
area studies at the highest level in Japan, from which values of satoyama and satoumi are
created, reappraised and transmitted to the world.
