Sasmira is one of eight textile research associations recognized by India's Ministry of Textiles. Located in Mumbai, it undertakes R&D, testing, technical services, and training to serve the textile industry. Its activities include investigating raw materials and products, optimizing process and product parameters, and standardizing quality. It is recognized for testing and analysis and provides services to textile manufacturers, government organizations, and import/export houses.
